I still don’t understand all the hubbub about the episode.

Just think what Seinfeld and Larry David could have probably made had they held onto the rights to the show and syndicated it themselves. I think they each got about $500-$700 million in the sale to Sony. They could have probably worth 10x that now.
I hope they were able to retain at least some percentage of the royalties.
Hell, the Friends cast is still banking $20 mil/year because of their sweetheart deals. I don't think Michael Richards, Jason Alexander and Julia Louis-Dreyfuss get much at all off the show anymore.

I believe it’s a 5 year deal. They’ll get to sell the rights again

I never watched Seinfeld when it was on tv. I started watching it the other day and I think it's a fantastic show. And Elaine is sexy asf.

it's not on as much as the other episodes, but I have 100%, wihtout a doubt, seen it on TV here and there over the last 10 yeras. It's definitley not "banned" but yeah it is surely played less than others.

liberals getting their feelings hurt and complaining which caused a company to alter their product. Nothing new, same thing we see today. Towards the end the puerto rican flag is on fire and kramer stomps it out, so certain people called in butthurt and offended that their flag was being trampled on.

I liked how with Hulu you could choose “Yada yada yada” and it would be like shuffle mode with the episodes

Peacock never had Seinfeld. Hulu did. I mentioned this a year ago when Peacock came out, my wife was confused why Everybody Loves Raymond and King of Queens were on Peacock when they were CBS shows and why Friends and Fresh Prince is on HBO Max when they were on NBC. Networks have bought rights to different studio libraries.

The framing is off in this new version. You should almost always show what the cinematographer intended, not whatever fits the current display proportions. (I'll make an exception for IMAX shots that get shown in 16:9 for home video).
All they had to do was rescan the film at a high resolution and release in 4:3.
If the philistines are annoyed by black bars on their tv, they can adjust their tv settings. Don't ruin the videos for the rest of us.

Used to drive me nuts back when TVs were 4:3 and widescreen movies were cropped on the sides and called "full screen" on DVD b/c people couldn't handle having black bars. Now we have the reverse and it's just as bad.
Directors didn't always use the entire frame width or height, but many did and if you alter that it's sometimes metaphorically & literally losing an important part of the picture.
