It's been about 40 years since I could successfully pull off the Simon LeBon look but I had it nailed in the 80s

Yeah, i hate that Jewel had some minor work done, but it shows up because her features were so youthful and natural.
Summer, Morena and Gina, all properly aging and looking very good.

Well, today's the day. What will it be?
Personally, I can't see them working on a new series. Not without Joss. All the crew are too spread out, established and comfortable in their own lives. A series would be a massive undertaking.
And how would that even play out? 20+ years for these characters, who'd even be alive?
Would Kaylee be scampering around in an engine room in her 40's?
Jayne most likely would be dead from being Jayne.
Inara was supposed to be dying from some terminal illness, but OK, maybe Simon helped her. Or River, for that matter.
And River...(Summer is actually older than Jewel, fwiw) are she and Simon still hiding out on Serenity? Is Serenity even still flying?
How depressing would it be to find the crew aging out, (those still alive) their youth behind them, still doing the same thing?
It has to be an animated (DISNEY) project. I can't think of anything else that makes sense.

Rosenbaum and Welling are trying ti get a Smallville animated series up and running as well (with original cast).
Not a bad idea for those who have really aged out of their roles from where the series left off.

Voices tend to say the same and if not, there’s always AI. But a couple of the cast of Smallville got wrapped up in that NXVIM sex cult stuff.
Guess that why it helps if it’s animated, they can just replace the actors.

I took it to understand for this project, not an all-encompassing stamp of approval for everything going forward. Plus, let’s face it, the crew of serenity wasn’t exactly like serving on a Starfleet ship. Things got up close and personal. Lotta dangerous things in the verse.

animated is the way to go, it’s been too long and a scripted network series is too much to ask. All the sets are gone, actors are too old, etc. plus there’s the issue of what in the hell has gone on in 25 years like mentioned above…too much to deal with and too much to explain. Serenity was always a day to day thing and that’s what made it great, and different from Star Trek for example
I hope this happens, they can all happily voice their characters and still do whatever they are all doing currently, and the story can be set in any time frame they want.

Not really interested in animated version. I kind of enjoyed the interactions between Fillion and the others with the teasers. I know one important character and big part of the crew’s chemistry didn’t make it out of the movie, but when has that stopped hollywood.
I kind of figured it was a game or animated related, but I was hoping for something else.
