The Rock is the first that comes to mind. Definitely more "fun" than the 5th Element. and I could probably think of 10 others as well.

I didn't think about animated movies. Shrek 2, Nemo and the Incredibles were all really fun.

As far as "guilty pleasures" go, 5th Element is right up there with Armageddon.

Boondock was not serious at all.

Gone in 60 seconds has to get a mention. Not an award winner, but a fun ride.

The Losers is a blast

It has Chiwetel Ejiofor as the villain,

What else do you need to know?

ETA: yes, I'm sure I butchered the name. . .and no, I don't care.

It's a tongue-in-cheek homage to exploitation and kung fu flicks which are already cheeky and fun genres.

i mean you have a lot of not fun shite. killing in front of kids. raping unconscious bodies. murdering a pregnant bride.

Our views on what is "fun" in a movie is very different. When it's told in a manner like Kill Bill murder and mayhem can be fun because it's just a movie.

5th Element is a pretty respectable 72% on RT, so I don't know if it can be considered a guilty pleasure.

Scott Pilgrim and Serenity are legit answers. Toy Story 3 and the Incredibles if you go animated. Fight Club/Kiss Kiss Bang/In Bruges/Lucky Number Slevin all could fit the bill if you're willing to go in the dark humor direction. I'd say each of those four is better (though just slightly) than 5th Element, but maybe not what you're looking for. Gotta throw in Iron Man as well.

You haven't lived yet if you haven't engaged in one of these acts.

a movie with a scene where a would-be mother realizes her baby was cut out of her is not fun. sorry

i love in bruges. it's a better movie than 5th element

when i say, "i want to watch a fun movie," that does not come close to entering my head. when i sa, "i want to watch a dark movie when i'm depressed or hate the world," it's one of my go to movies
