I think of TV series more than movies when I think of my dad.

Shows such as Bonanza, Magnum PI, McGuyver, and the Johnny Carson Show.

Also, I'll always remember the first time my dad watched Ferris Beuller's Day Off. I had seen it tons of times, but he hadn't, and when Rooney was trying to break into the house and the dog and the mud was fricking him up, I remember my dad was crying from laughing so hard. He was cracking me up.

TV series

My dad was a big western movie/series fan.

Gunsmoke,Bonanza,The Big Valley.... If it had guns and horses, he was a fan.

My dad wasn't a big movie guy, but I do remember watching the Treasure of Sierra Madre with him one afternoon. We didn't need no stinkin' badges.

Where Eagles Dare with Richard Burton and Clint. We saw it at the old drive in on Jefferson Highway when it came out.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
National Lampoon's Vacation

And although not a movie, we used to always watch Columbo and the Andy Griffith Show together.

Not a movie but Bonanza. My pops was always watching this when it was on.

My dad will still watch the Three Stooges if they are on.

He also loves those old Harold Lloyd silent flicks.
They are pretty amazing movies. LINK

I watched Hart's War with my Dad 8 hours before he died. I wish I knew he was going to leave me so soon after .

The Godfather.

I was eleven or twelve. My dad didn't like us watching violent movies or movies with adult themes. But he made a point of taking me to see The Godfather. He wanted me to know that there were real criminals in the world, and this movie showed them in a realistic light.

And it was one of my first movies where I saw boobs. (He pulled me out of my very first booby movie :) )
