I hope they make it too. I think after the renovation that shopping center will do pretty well, given it's location. Not happy about the dollar tree either but hopefully they can pull a decent anchor for the center and it does well.

I'm still not happy about the demise of 2paul's...RIP
The ad said in the Caffery Center. I'm pretty sure that's the shopping center that's getting a facelift right now
I sure hope not. Maybe it'll weed out some of these lesser eateries, or at least a few of the 20,000 Subways in the area
Both of those numbers seem a little low

New York Bagel opening in Lafayette

I was looking through the most recent 008 magazine and saw an ad NYB is opening here this spring. Hope it's true, I loved that place in college....Brooklyn Bomber
The La. SOS office has a Trade name registration form and the local clerk of court has an assumed named form.

I'll just spend a little extra and over-cover my a**

DBA vs trade name filing - advice

Posted by cast away on 1/9/17 at 11:03 am
I've formed an LLC that will be operating under the parent name of the company I'm licensing. I've already filed my articles of organization. Would it be better to file a DBA with the local parish Clerk of Court or to file a Trade name with the Sec. of State?

What are the pros and cons to each if any, or are they just different routes for the same end result?

TIA

well you know all those business articles and the writer always has to throw some sort of positive twist on something that doesn't deserve it.

As with most decisions...I like to consult the TD think tank

operating under a license agreement with another company

yes, this.

I always do LLCs for everything but I've never licensed a business so I didn't know if it was still pretty straightforward or there was something hidden, I've never heard of.

LLC vs Sole Proprietorship

What would be the better filing for a business that is being licensed, not franchised?

The LLC seems to be the way to go from what I've read but I'd figure I'd pitch it to the lot of you subject matter experts.

damn you!

I'm just jealous
what's your bike of choice?

I rode all over in Park City, all day, and never broke a sweat with 97 degree temps. sometimes I think I was born in the wrong state
I want to either keep my 80 and get a 60 series or sell my 80 and get a 60 series. either way, I need more garage

if I keep the 80, i'll prob do a diesel conversion
that's the one I have. same color and everything

I wouldn't kick a FJ62 out my garage either
I hope it was a Kia at least. They rank highest in initial quality, you know

That was the only place to ride that had sand

Holly Beach looks like a go from everything I read. As long as you putt putt past all the "beach" goers until you get out until the open, you're good. Hate to drive 2 hours and get turned around though.

told years ago there was a trail that connected LA Dunes to Kisatchie, but that was back around 2000 and no one ever seemed to know anything about it.

I think there are a lot of "trails" like that

kisatchie is probably your best/closest spot

and what about the Turkey Creek/Forest Hill area? 15 years ago that was a pretty hot spot for riding but like I said I've been out the game a while.

LA Dunes is, for now, closed permanently

so could it still be accessed via other trails or is it policed pretty hard?

however if you are into racing

nah, more just trail riding and blazing down some gravel roads/old fire roads.
