Smoking Aces is one the greatest “dumb” movies of the last 20 years. Shut your mouth about that movie

That Jackie Chan movie where his daughter dies and it looks like he’s just going to be kicking butt on a revenge tour the whole movie, but the movie ended up being a dull political slog

The Foreigner?

That movie was great.

Got way too caught up in an over convoluted IRA/political plot that lead to an excessively long movie

For some reason back in 1989 I really thought this trailer looked really cool:

WARLOCK

Drug my wife to the cinema to see it.

Boy, was it BAD.

Half the movie was great, half was a big steaming heap of Snyder.

Glad multiple people are defending Smokin Aces so I can pretend I haven't watched it a dozen times.

This might be the greatest trailer of all time, for such a disappointment of a movie.

If you do a reverse thread "Movies where the trailer was lackluster but the movie turned out great, superb, etc" I have several.

Most trailers nowadays are so cookie cutter.
