What about the great documentary Hands on a Hard Body?

Set in small town Texas

A real life drama where contestants are pitted against themselves to win a truck. Whomever keeps their hand on the truck for the longest period of time without removing their hand wins the truck. The following 72 hours are heart breaking, mesmerizing and breath taking. See if your favorite contestant wins in this close to the vest time capsule of a documentary.

Here’s another neat classic...and another starring the great Brian Benben, a man with three first names in two...set in Houston, TX during Christmas, watch Brian Benben team up with Dolph Lundgren as the two take on a foe that’s truly out of this world! “We come in peace but leave you in PIECES!” In the great film Dark Angel!

Who killed my partner and where are the drugs!

Ok ok last one and this one is truly my favorite documentary of all time, Relics: Einstein’s Brain.

Join professor Sugimoto in his quest to discover the location of Einstein’s brain. Armed with little English but fueled with passion Sugimoto travels to America with an extremely patient interpreter and inexplicably a cameraman as they meander state after state in search of Einstein’s brain. For what purpose? Does that even matter? The guy just wanders up to random people and in broken English asks, “uh, excuse me...uhhh, have you seen Einstein’s brain? I’m looking for Einstein’s, uhh (mutters to himself) brain?”

The documentary is extremely surprising on all fronts and you quickly begin to root for the guy in his lifelong quest. It’s truly like no other film, documentary or well anything you’ve ever seen before. So journey with me as you quest alongside the great Professor Sugimoto and ask yourself....”ehh uhhh have...you seen uhh Einstein’s brain? I’m looking for...uhh, Einstein’s uhh brain?”

Here is the full film:
Not the best quality but what can ya do

He also was in the best episode of Masters of Horror “Deer Woman” directed by John Landis of An American Werewolf in London fame.

It’s amazing, outside of grey hair, the man just doesn’t age. I think if a smart indie director wanted to make a name for himself, he’d resurrect an old classic whodunnit from the 30s, put it in black and white and have Mr. Benben play the detective. As for the dame...well that’s the tough part. They don’t make em like Constance Cummings or Fay Wray anymore!

Here is the whole episode:

Agreed! I tell ya, his wife could pull it off. The two live near Fredericksburg. Has there ever been a movie shot in Fredericksburg?

It got some love on this board which convinced me to watch it, but I don’t hear many people ever talk about it. Probably my favorite move from 2017. Also completely changed my opinion on Robert Pattinson.

It goes balls to the wall for an hour and a half. You might not like it as much as me, but you will not be bored.
