Happiness 1998

One of the most disturbing dark comedies you will ever see. Watch at your own risk

Not a movie but not many people seem to be familiar with Fallet, a spoof on the Swedish crime noir scene. It works because they play it fairly straight other than everyone not being the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Has one of my favorite exchanges of all time between the female cop lead and her boss.

"You are suspending me just because I'm a threat to the white male patriarchy!"

"No! I'm suspending you because you keep shooting innocent people."

a great satirical black comedy that was realeased in the late 90's I think as an HBO movie. Cast is amazing and has even more people in it than the poster shows.

Lucky Number Slevin
Fracture
Get Low

3 of my favorites with well known actors that too many people have told me they've never heard of. None of these are really obscure tho

Headhunters is the best movie NO ONE has seen

LINK

Check out the ratings, avoid watching the preview and just enjoy the wild ride. It’s Jamie Lannister’s best movie. Yes, better than Shot Caller which I thought was decent.

City of Lost Children
Danger: Diabolik

If you haven't seen that second one, you need to. Probably the best attempt to actually capture a comic book on film that I've ever seen. Plus it has a splendid, drug-laced score by none other than Ennio Morricone. Don't try too hard to understand this movie, because that really isn't the point. Just let it wash over you.

I've seen at least half of the movies mentioned in this thread, some even at the theater. I think I have a different opinion on what obscure means.

On that note here's a few more I enjoyed
The Rescue (1988 version)
Trespass (the one with Ice T and Ice Cube)
Who's the Man
The Mouse that Roared

Yes and Bill Paxton. I get the feeling it was overshadowed by Judgement Night, which came out a little while later. Trespass is the far superior movie though.

Cadence

1990 film directed by Martin Sheen. And he’s also in it with Charlie Sheen and Larry Fishburne (before he went as Lawrence I guess).

Awesome movie about a white soldier in an all back unit in a military prison and him fitting in. It’s so great.

"That's the sound of the men, get back, working on the chain"

Basically Charlie Sheen's character from Platoon in military prison

Own it too

Bought that Apocalypto blu ray after you mentioned how hard it is to find. Waited three months for it to arrive and then it goes on prime streaming

Judgement Night is only remembered for the soundtrack. I'm betting most people who heard the soundtrack never saw the movie. It was a long time before I even saw it.

those 2 movies fit in perfectly with the "Predator 2" thread about that late 80s to mid-90s era of urban decay

There is a wild movie that is escaping me right now that starts out as a heist film and then quickly turns into an end of the world movie with a really creepy guy shades of the old man from Poltergeist 3 riding around on a bicycle. I can’t seem to find it anywhere and it really creeps me out making me think that it never existed.

Where can I find judgment night? I’ve been trying to watch that movie. It’s like Running Scared with Paul Walker right?
