Edward Scissorhands. That pale face with the cuts and no eye brows scared the hell out of me as a kid. I wouldn't even go into Blockbuster for fear that I would see the movie on the shelf.

The scene in the original Batman movie where the Joker has just plummeted to his death and the camera slowly spirals down onto his still laughing and smiling corpse. I had nightmares about it when I was 5.

Pretty much any murder scene in the movie "It".

Hellraiser 2. I never saw 1 and probably a good thing I didn't because the recap at the beginning of 2 had some f'd up s in it already. Something about a mattress and the shot of the guy suspended by hooks.

Wolfen was another that got me - just from the scene witht he sound of the crying baby in the building, and when the person left the building all you saw were the red eye glowing.

The birds.

I still am weary of large groups of those filthy creatures.

I can't remember the name of the movie, but it was the one with a guy that has nails growing out of his head and another guy had CDs growing out of his head.

Jaws - still can't go into the water without constantly looking for a shark (at a beach, of course).

The Strangers - didn't mess me up as a "kid" because I was 21 or so when it came out but I always wanted to live in the woods.....but not anymore.

Requiem for a Dream - Again, not a "kid" when it came out, but never have and never will do drugs thanks to this movie.

thank god for the superdome a/c units

i'm still waiting for the killer bees to get here

Was that the one where the woman drives her car into the Super Dome covered in killer bees and they turn on the AC full blast and get it down to like 5 degrees and it freezes the bees to death?

My freak out list:

Original Texas Chainsaw Massacre - Watched it with friends when I was 10 and it left a permanent mark on me. We had an old hunting camp in a house and lot that from the outside looked eerily similar to the house in the movie.

Poltergeist - I'll never be able to forget the clown scene. Parents who give their kids big clown dolls should be reported for child abuse.

The Shining - Danny on his tricycle meeting the little twin girls in the hallway. All the scenes that Wendy sees in the hotel at the end of the movie. Creepy as frick.

Hellraiser 2 - the bar room massacre scene was disturbing to say the least.

Twilight Zone the Movie - The cartoon house segment was very creepy and disturbing as a kid.

Creepshow 2 - specifically the living oil spill on the lake scene as well as the infamous Hitchhiker scene. "Thanks for the ride lady"
