A Chuck Norris flick called Silent Rage.
My mom was in love with Chuck Norris and took me to see it when I was 9. The one part that stayed with me was the end when Chuck threw the maniac killer's body down a well. THe camera pans down the well to the bottom and then ends when the guy pops out of the water.
For awhile after that, everytime I closed my eyes at night, I'd see that image and I had a hard time going to sleep.

A couple others that got me when I was really young was "Escape from Witch Mountain" (1975 version) and "Something Wicked this Way Comes".

The first horror movie that scared me was Friday the 13th Part III. I was around 6 or 7 when I watched it.
And another movie that has always stayed with me was a movie called "Dot and the Kangaroo." It used to come on television all the time when I was a kid. [Spoiler alert] There was a freaky Bunyip scene in it, but what really upset me as a kid is that the Kangaroo never finds her baby and leaves Dot alone in the end as she cries for the Kangaroo to come back.
Also, another movie that freaked me out somewhat and sticks with you is "The Peanut Butter Solution."

I know it's kinda off topic, and don't believe it needs its own thread but this movie freaked me out as an adult.

Candyman as a child.
The Ring also freaked me out when I saw it as a teen. Still dont like black and white static on a TV
And this is a different one but don't watch The Ghost in the Darkness when out in the country. You will think there is a possibility a lion will jump out of the tall grass in south Louisiana

Also it didn't help that the night I watched Poltergeist in the theater, we had a monstrous thunderstorm and I had a gnarly old tree outside of my bedroom window.

Twister
As a kid,I cant tell you how many nights I heard the wind blowing hard outside during a thunderstorm and thought a tornado was coming.
Although I have gotten over it since then. Its funny most kids are afraid of monsters, i was afraid of tornados

For me it was the original Night of the Living Dead. I was probably around 8 or 9 when it came out and we talked out parents into bringing us to see it because we thought it would be funny to scare our young cousin who was a couple years younger than us.
I don't remember if it scared him or not. But know I didn't sleep good for a couple of weeks after that movie.

man ask me an age and there was a probably a movie that fricked me up duing that time. exorcist was before my time but saw it when i was like 11 which was too early.
poltergeist, pet sematary, american werewolf in london, hellraiser, nightmare on elm st.
silence of the lambs later on.
I actually read "IT" before i saw it. got into king and koontz in jr high school. both scared the eff out of me.
the one non horror thing i remember sticking with me was the movie time bandits. even though the main characters parents sucked, when they died it was kind of the first time i realized your parents could die. it freaked me a little.
saw "the thing" in like jr high. the blood test scene to this day is probably the most tense scary scene i've seen

Halloween 6. The first scary movie I had ever seen in the theaters & I spent most of the movie sitting with my knees in my chest.
