Gremlins-I couldn't understand why people in the movie theater were laughing at these evil little bastards.
I watched that movie in the theatre and was one of the kids laughing.

The scene in 7 when it's the person tied to the bed and is alive but barely. I had nightmares from that scene.

Any and all dream scenes in the original Nightmare on Elm Street. Saw that as a kid and couldnt sleep for 3 nights.
Exorcist. For a few nights I refused to sleep in my own bed because I was afraid my bed would start shaking.

Yes, but the copier scene from Office Space was therapeutic for me.

Eva Green drowning scene in Casino Royale. Just too realistic.

Robot lady from Superman III. I cried my eyes out as a kid, and it still gives me the creeps.
This, I watched it when I was 5 and I still remember the nightmare it gave me that night

As a kid, Donkey Scene from Pinocchio

The torture in the prison in Midnight Express. I was too young when I saw it and pretty much stayed turned around or in the bathroom the whole movie. My BF/future husband wanted to see it. I think I was 16.

Can't believe I didn't think of this one.
Horrifying scene

You have serious problems.
It always cracks me up when someone writes that they were balling (not bawling) crying. You’re getting laid; why the tears?

Is that Homeward Bound? Need to know so I don’t accidentally watch it.
And I’m way over 35.

Corn crib scene in Ole Yeller.
Marley and me when they can’t find him and he’s laying out in the yard.

Original Jaws movie. Never thought about sharks in the ocean up until that movie.
Chernobyl. Realistic horror of radiation poisoning definitely leaves an impression.

Me neither. Can't watch movies about animals dying.

Jaws - pick any scene with the shark. Scared of the water for years as a child.

Jaws is always my answer for threads like these, although this thread is for particular scenes. But that movie had me fricked in the head even when I would swim in a pool at night.
One that will always stay with me is when I was like 4 in the early 80s there was this sketch/skit show, and they did a skit called Gas Station Washroom. It's basically about how nasty and disgusting those are, and is presented as sort of a horror. IIRC< the skit had a man in the bathroom and he was killed by all of the bad shite in there, or eaten by the room or something weird like that. There was like blood on the walls and floors and holes in the floor and shite like that.
Anyway, I saw part of it and Freaked. The. frick. Out. It scared the absolute shite out of me, and I was inconsolable for a while. I also had nightmares as well about it. I would walk around our house and see holes and blood on the dining room floor and would just tremble and cry.
Over the years I've tried and tried to find it online to no avail, and all I've been able to find is the song and lyrics to it (it's a song by The Frantics apparently). It's funny now too because I feel like I'd laugh my arse off at it just like I'm sure my dad did way back then. But man, oh man, that shite absolutely terrified four year old me.
