Julia Roberts character in Steel Magnolias. I despise that movie because I hate her so much.

While not the most unlikeable character of all time... Dolores Umbridge from the Harry Potter movies should get a dishonorable mention. Naturally the actress that plays her is well known for being quite a nice person in real life.

I hate characters that are brought into people's lives willingly and then just proceed to ruin their lives.
Which is why Waingro is so unlikable.
You like the crew, you want them to get away with their heists but this guy has to murder a security guard for no reason, then they try and kill his sociopathic arse and he gets away and goes all Craig James killing hookers.
Then he rats them out to be murdered by a crime boss and then DeNiro hates his arse so much he ditches his perfect getaway with the woman he loves just to kill that sorry SOB and because of it gets killed by Pacino.
He ruins everyone's life in the movie but if you don't have Waingro's piece of shite arse then Heat is just a more violent Ocean's 11.
It's always the characters that change the way we want a movie to turn out that are so unlikable. But for that person the characters we like would have a happy ending.

I should add... thunderously boring. Her husband (Jim Carter, the actor who plays the butler on Downton Abbey) and her enjoy a quiet evening by... sitting on the couch. During the day they like to garden.
I humbly say, on both sides of the political aisle, we need more actors like this.
