Clerks. I've tried to watch it numerous times but It's a drudge to get through

The Nightmare Before Christmas - I still don't know how this movie ends, very mediocre movie that seems to be labeled a classic

The Passion of the Christ - You can tell Mel Gibson was passionate about this film, but it just wasn't a good movie. The Last Temptation of Christ was better.

Shawshank is my #1 most overrated movie of alltime. Great movie but too high on most lists, tedious and hard to rewatch IMO. For context, I can’t express enough how much I dislike prison movies so I have no problem if people think this is a poor pick on my part.

Phantom Menace - Saw opening day. Very disappointed.

Howard the Duck - It got so much hype and ended up being a total shite show.

Agreed. Don't think it was a bad movie, just not near worthy of the praise it got on here.

#1 on my list is “Inception”.

100% agree. It was a great concept that collapsed under its own weight. The gravity rules just randomly fall apart when they get to the 3rd level of dream.

Oh, also, look, here's another 30 seconds of super slo-mo van falling.

Everyone saw it but it still made minimal impact on the culture like Star Wars or say the MCU. No one cares about the blue monkey-cat people.

It’s just Fern Gully in space.

Isn't universally praised enough for me to consider it an all time overrated film.

Maybe not all time overrated, but Napoleon Dynamite wasn't in the least bit funny or entertaining.

Napoleon Dynamite being rated at all would make it overrated. I've never been able to make it through the whole movie.

Get out: dont get me wrong, i like the movie, but the sheer amount of acclaim it got was ridiculous. it was a solid 6 or 7 / 10 but at the time people were making it sound like it was the best horror movie ever made

Elf: i dont care, you can hate me. Every fricking christmas season this shite movie plays.

Grease: i dont see the appeal at all. No one ever speaks badly about this movie though.
