That is the most gory part of the entire movie and you have it on a looping gif.

I know it's rated R, but is that mostly due to the gore and blood, or is there sexual stuff in it?

Rough week in the office, so I'm looking to veg out with cocktail in front of the tube tonight.

I've never seen any MK movies or read any books. Had the game on Genesis but that's it.

Is this presented like an introduction into the series like where they explain why they're there and what they're fighting for?

It is solely an introduction to why they’re fighting almost. Tournament is only talked about. It left itself open to a sequel for the tournament.

Gotcha, thanks.

I loosely remember something about the marks and some of the characters' backstories. I think the last one I ever played was MK3.

This sounds great. I want to watch something alone that doesn't cause me to think too much.

You guys do realize that there's a big difference between this fake gore video game killing rated R, and Deadpool language rated R right?

Currently at a not scorching 6.8 on IMDB. Another torrent site has it at 7.0.

It looked okay in the trailer.

If you liked the game as a kid, then you’ll love it. Thought it was badass with the Scorpion surprise.

I enjoyed it, it’s probably the best you can do to adapt mortal kombat to film. Sub zero was a total badass and they nailed him and scorpion down. I feel like Raiden was terribly cast. Some of the dialogue and acting was a tad cringe at times, especially around Cole and his wife. Really don’t see why we were introduced to him as a character and wasn’t impressed with his speciality.

Look forward to hopefully getting a sequel with Johnny Cage and some other characters.

It was decent, not as good as the original in my opinion. I’d rank it second. kano and SZ were great

Baraka, Smoke, Ermac, Noob Saibot (who I guess we technically got in this movie, Tundra being the next subzero)
