Seems kind of lazy of them.

Did they basically say, "hey, after end game, let's take a break"?

Black widow was slated for a May release. Covid fricked that up.

They've also got Eternals, Falcon and Winter Soldier, and Wandavision all in production. The Marvel train isn't slowing down.

Marvel knew it was coming. They built in a down year intentionally.

Can not wait until this fad runs it's course. It's almost worse than skinny jeans.

Completely agree. It’s my hope that COVID kills the marvel tent pole comic book movies. It’s too much, it’s just too damn much. They are all the same movie anyway.

I’m looking forward to the next Venom movie. Going to be good.

Is this the edgy, M/TVB version of "there's too many bowl games" post? As if there's a such thing as too much college football.

Marvel movies are, at worst, entertaining. At best, they're great.

It’s a dumb premise. The fact that they exist does not harm this edgy poster. In fact, these movies fund other less profitable movies. Also, though some are similar, there is a lot of variety in the MCU. Iron Man, Winter Soldier, GOTG, infinity war, ragnarok, endgame, all very different. Wanda vision is excellent and entertaining and extremely different.

Iron Man came out on 2008.

Decade and a half might equate to more than "fad."

Fret not, End Game and the ridiculous idea to make Brie Larson's Captain Marvel as the standard bearer for the MCU will effectively kill off the big budget movies. I think that's in part why we have a flurry of offshoot shows, and lesser movies. But time will tell.

Somebody didn’t do their research, because they were set to release two movies last year, and four movies this year before everything screwed that up. Those six movies as well as their original programming on Disney+

Yep, I am honestly shocked they decided to hold Black Widow off of Disney+ though, especially after HBO got WW84.

They spent last year trying to get the series up and running to set up more content and sell their streaming.
