you can’t hire Amy Schumer and the. not make some kinda of subversive anti-Barbie movie.
like 60% of the jokes would have been about Barbie being fat.
i get the studio not wanting to make that movie, and I get Amy Schumer not wanting to play barbie straight up because thats fricking insane.

Have zero interest in this movie but have to say that while Margot Robbie is pretty damn hot, I've never thought of her as a Barbie in appearance.

Schumer was excited to do a Barbie project because she thought it would be about Australian grilling.

Barbie would have been a colossal flop had Amy Schumer been cast. The messaging of the movie would’ve been far too on the nose. (Think Velma with Mindy Kaling ) At least the studio was able to do a bit of bait and switch with Margot playing the lead.

The closest Amy Schumer ever got to being "Barbie-esque" was her 2016 British GQ shoot.
This was her in 2015:
If they had made the movie 8 years ago, she would have been... well, still not as close as Margot Robbie looked for the part, but a lot closer than she is now to what Barbie looks like.
The only person who I think might have been a closer match, physically, would have been Alicia Silverstone circa Clueless-time frame.

I guess I'm the only one that thinks that Amy Schumer is attractive.
But I like thick women and Big Boobs.

It’s distracting how hot Margot Robbie looks in this movie.
She busted her arse in the gym to get game shape ready. Of course pretty easy to do when you have a trainer and chef showing up every day and making 10 million in the process.
