Agreed with the other posters. Of all people, the Mandalorian bounty hunter should know about the tracking device and how it works and that he couldn't leave the kid alone without doing something about it.

Wish they had given some sort of backstory as to why the dog aliens were attacking the other aliens. Seemed sorta weird that they raided the village, stole some shrimp, and then left only to attack again when provoked.

What's the plan with baby Yoda? Dude wants to lay low for a couple of months?

Love me some baby yoda

He makes me laugh, especially when he was turning shite off, and then he would always be there, next to Mandolorian, no matter where he sets him.

How does one think, "SJW" from that episode?????

There was some girl power but it worked fine for me. Unlike TLJ.

1. The village runs away totally helpless in the first attack but within a day they know how to fight with wooden staffs and shoot? Especially the one woman?

He makes the comment at the end of the episode that they had been there for quite a while. This wasn’t a arrive at the village on Friday and all out war on Sunday thing.

I disagree. As stated earlier, the tracker doesn’t really work unless you are relatively close to the object it seems. In the first episode mando was told which planet to go to before the tracker really worked.

In reality the tracker is fricking stupid. It beeps faster when you get closer. It’s basically an electronic device telling you if you’re getting hot or cold
Would take forever to actually find the object it was tracking without knowing where to go. Like was needed in the first episode. Mando was first told the planet then also needed the little nick nolte character to take him to the canyon where the baby was being held.

Also it appears the tracker is somehow linked to his body not like he’s just got a metal tracker stuck on his robe that mando forgot to take off.

Who the hell said he was the best bounty hunter in the galaxy? Hell he isn’t the best Mandalorian we’ve seen.

I got the SJW vibe because it was all women and they were all “badass” then the two male villagers are soy boys who are awkward and can’t do anything.

Worst episode by far. The dialogue and acting was terrible. Didn’t like the female lead, the plan was terrible as was the writing in general.

Awkward bar scene then fight- I get what they were going for with the bartender but poor execution. The fight outside was terrible as was pursuing dialogue.

Awkward forced relationship- was not buying any of that BS for a second, poor dialogue. The baby yoda having a good life was done well enough no need to force relationship and take the helmets off

Terrible fight/ plan- I understand they had time to train and all that but why sneak into the base and plant explosives but not blow up the walker? Plus the walker gets to the town then misses every shot and just becomes useless. Then the dumbest plan ever to get it to take one step into a pond where one explosive destroys it. Do not even give me some BS about them not knowing where to find walker to plant explosives. Terrible writing.

Bounty hunter tracking yoda- idc what your explanation is for how he found yoda, it’s piss poor writing that he didn’t expect people to track him and further more that he was going to leave the kid and act like no one would come. The whole basis of visiting the planet was to “lay low for a couple of months”. Why even have him contemplate leaving. He should have been working on a plan waiting for the first bounty hunter to show up.

So many missed opportunities in this episode, especially after the last episode

I want to say in one of the episodes the people handing out bounties say he’s the best. This can be misleading because “best” does not equal “badass fight/genius” he could just be lucky, get help, etc( as we have seen) which helps him finish all his jobs therefore “best” at completing bounties.

But I don’t like how they said that because he is far from the beat, which I’m fine but with, just don’t call him the best and have him be an idiot.

+1

I think Pedro Pascal continues to do great with the dialogue and direction he is given.

Directed by Bryce Dallas Howard. You may know her as the lame love interest in Spiderman 3 and the woman who wore high heels in Jurassic World. Another actress whose success in Hollywood is tied to who her dad is and nothing more.

I have nothing against Pedro, I feel he’s limited by helmet but no complaints.

Saw some people talking about the director but did not know who it was, thought it was a guy

Just binged the first 4 episodes. Mehhhhhh. A whole lot of meh. Feels like a kid’s cartoon plot and writing that was shot as live action.

I give it a B- and here’s a few thoughts

1. Carrano is thick as hell and I love it, she could dominate me any night of the the week

2. The tracker has bothered me for 3 eps, Mando knows how this works. As soon as he picked up baby Yoda he should’ve found that tracker and disabled it

3. He shouldn’t be hurt at all by melee attacks, he has a full suit of beskar armor now. As bad arse as she may be, Carrano shouldn’t have been able to throw him around like that

4. Loved the AT-ST sequence, just dives into the lore more after the fall of the empire and what various groups would do with all that leftover tech

5. The almost love between Mando and that chick was dumb, just leave that shite out of this we don’t want it

6. I still love the show, this was a middle of a season ho-hum episode which nearly all shows have. Still looking forward to the 2nd half of the season

Carl Weathers was talking shite because he got the bounty (baby Yoda) that no one else had gotten. He (Weathers) has no idea that the Mandalorian had help from I Have Spoken and the droid just to get the baby and without the baby, dude gets fired by the rhino.

If he were the best bounty hunter in the galaxy, he would have already had his beskar steel and be rolling in a better ship. He’d probably have a crew too. Like I said, he’s not even the best Mandalorian we’ve seen, much less the best bounty hunter.

I thought that was Gina Carano but I wasn't sure. Honestly kind of surprised she could land a role in a series like this but I thought she did well.

Like others have mentioned, this show so far isn't amazing by any stretch. It's actually fairly formulaic and predictable, but I'm still enjoying it.

frick you homos are annoying.

The part you keep bitching about showed for the first time that although Mando loves and respects the Mandolorian way, he is not unflappable and seemed to be considering leaving it behind for a life and family. That’s not something we had seen before now and plays into his character as it gives more background about what motivates him and what he wants.

My favorite was after Mando paid the lady to watch him then got in a fight. After the fight he was there sipping on his soup.

So the woman was a Rebel shock trooper?
