I get it. Sam is a patriot, soldier, fits in many/ most areas. But he doesn’t have the power upgrade that is required to properly use the shield. Yes, it’s a symbol but taking the brunt of Thor's hammer Mjölnir or red hulk’s punch, a normal human can’t withstand those forces. Think Sam could have stood up Thanos like Steve did? Hell naw!

Even before the Majors news the future wasn’t exactly looking bright. Their big bad was taken down by Loki in a show and Ant-Man in a movie that bombed. Most of the shows were duds and a good portion of the movies didn’t generate much excitement.

So then you can't wrap your mind around Iron Man either, right?

The writers could have solved this problem by Sam taking the Super Soldier serum (US Agent did, as did the retarded "freedom fighters," in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier).

See, all that D+ trash I didn’t even bother with so it’s hard to fit those side stories into the bigger theatrical narrative.

And regarding power levels, Hulk used the Gauntlet, and got crippled. Tony tried it with his Iron Gauntlet version, and still died.

For the most part, I wish I hadn't.

Hawkeye was pretty decent, as was Loki (which you kinda need for a certain storyline in Deadpool and Wolverine to make sense). The rest was godawful trash.

No, you’re just a normal person in a jet pack with wings carrying around a clumsy vibranium shield for no particular reason.

I still can’t believe they flirted with giving him the super serum only to write the character saying “nah, I’m good. Ima go fight the Hulk now.”

Man, you really missed out on the lesbian witch Agatha show which also included a gay dude.

Not to be confused with the Star Wars lesbian witch show, or course.

Which person is playing Mystique?

They brought back Rebecca Romijn to reprise her role.

I liked her the most for Mystique. I guess the events of X3 are erased or maybe the serum was temporary. Also she was pure evil in x1 and x2 so interesting for her to be the god mystique that we saw in the New Class timeline.

Tony Stark
Hank Pym
Scott Lang

They are all to be super smart. Scott clearly not as much as the other two.

It does get weird in the shows when you have characters that don’t have true super power and are not super smart. Everything looks like a stretch at that point in a game with a bunch of people with super powers.

...absolutely anything which is why Marvel has lost its luster.

Infinity Wars and Endgame worked so well because they built slowly to the big final battle that concluded the saga. It was amazing seeing so many movies come together for one cohesive finale against a Big Bad who had a distinct motive.

They're about to introduce Dr. Doom as the main villain in an Avengers movie that features a ram jam of characters who have either been fully developed and concluded (Rogers, Thor), inefficiently adapted (Falcon as CA), or unintroduced (X-Men).

I bet this movie has some good action, decent laughs, and overall enjoyability. But it's not going to be anywhere close to what previous Avengers movies have been.

It's been a while but I remember the after credit scene of Magneto moving a chess piece with his powers so it looks like the serum was in fact temporary.

Disney is working on a new X-Men film to take place after Secret Wars. The movie is in pre-production and its rumored the new younger cast will be announced at this years San Diego Comic Con in July.

It's not really possible when you've situated yourself as the responsible, family-friendly, forward-thinking media company.

Once you're in that lane (and Disney was all-in on that lane), it's hard to ignore the allegations of domestic violence.

Also, I love how they can't take the uniform off Captain Falcon so they bring Steve Rogers back in just a shirt and some pants.

A: Shouldn't we put Captain America in a costume?

B: No. It would be a slight to Mackie, would piss off some fans, and might confuse others.

A: . . .

Steve as a guy in a generic uniform called The Captain is a thing going back to the 70s.

multiverse

The worst thing to happen to superhero movies since Joel Schumacher.

Completely kills any stakes and drama and enables lazy writing. I refuse to watch any of the new Spider-Man movies for this reason.

Supposedly, they are re-releasing a retconned version of Endgame in November that allegedly puts the multiverse into the trash and leads into Doomsday
