The only problem I have with the ending is Don's story. He should just jumped off the cliff.

And Don wrote it. That's why he was smiling. He was still Don and he had the best ad for Coke. In that moment.

That was a huge ad. I guess if you weren't alive back then you'll have no frame of reference.

that is what I thought. That smile at the end was his getting the idea for the commercial and presumably he goes back and does it.

So did Don go back and make the Coke commercial? You could certainly take that opinion.

Bitching is one thing...to end this amazing series with a character we've never met named Leonard crying at a therapy camp in California is a fricking joke.

Disagreed. He was always going to keep reinventing himself until he found happiness. Back when he was in Cali when Anna was still alive she said as much too him (over some tarot cards). Basically that he won't ever find happiness until he no longer feels alone. When Leonard and after he talks to Peggy he realizes he's not. And he's able to finally find his real self.

Thought it was terribly appropriate that he turns to that yoga lifestyle after all of the shite he's tried to find happiness in. And inevitably writes the most well known, loving commercial of all time.

Welp. It wasn't complete dogshit. But it also wasn't the grand slam I wanted. Oh well.

I I think I honestly would have preferred it if the last episode had been the finale.

EXACTLY.

Don didn't become a hippie. Don was abandoned at a commune, took that experience, went back to work, and made the most iconic tag-line in the history of the business.

FANTASTIC.

I thought it was a great end to his story. All the chicken little's in here couldn't even wait for the show to end to start shitting on it.

Is that gonna be the big question like, "Did Tony Soprano die?" "Did Don do the ad?" shite.

I wondered the same thing. I think that might of been the weakest episode of an otherwise great final season.
