Die Hard is gonna win this as its patient zero for all the copycats.
Predator/Aliens has a chance.
But the action scenes for Die Hard are well, never been as well imitated concerning relation to the story.
Who rewatches an action film en masse more than Die Hard? Christmas gatherings and all.

I don't ever remember my grandma watching an R rated movie (very few for my mom as well) but my mom and grandma watched this not long after it came out and both of them loved it. I remember being in middle school and being blown away my grandma liked a violent movie. It was a few years until I watched it and have loved it ever since. Both of them are gone now so something like this makes me love the movie even more. Hope this makes it to the next round.

This is a fair assessment. I personally am going to vote Raiders until the end even though I really enjoy every movie left in the tournament (and I'm old enough to have seen them all in the theater). To me, Raiders is the "best" movie of the 8 finalists while having probably the most iconic action scenes or images of any of this group. Indy and the boulder, Indy shooting the sword-wielding Arab, the shot of Indy and the cobra, the fistfight by the plane, Indy's horseback ride to take the truck...all these are practically cinematic history. This isn't to denigrate the others. I'm just elevating Raiders above those.
*I'm chalking up my nominee, Zulu (1964), not getting more run to the fact a lot of y'all haven't seen it. You're missing out.

What percentage of this board do you think has even seen The Raid? I don't think there were too many people that went in to this thinking, even if they love the movie, that The Raid had a shot at the Elite 8.
