I also don't buy the whole "what has happened has happened and you can't change it" theory. If this were the case, then why are Whidmore and Ben fighting so hard in the future to manipulate what will happen in the past?
Just a thought, I have no idea where the show is going and I love it

Dharmaville looked like it was abandoned for a long time. It still had all the signs and pictures of the Dharma people hanging up. I do not recall ever seeing that when the Others took control. You would think they would have removed all the signs and pictures so they wouldn't have to answer questions by the people that ben brought to the island.
I think that Frank and Sun made it to the recruit processing center which is much closer to the submarine bay, not the barracks. It's possible that the others never made use of the the facility after the purge.

I think Sayid could take over Ben's role in leading the purge.
Ben told Hurley and Locke in a previous season that he was not responsible for the purge. Hurley then said, it was Ben's people and he is their leader. Ben then made the comment that he was not always their leader and gave a shite-eating grin, like they would be surprised to know who the leader was at the time of the purge. It could be Widmore, but more likely one of the Losties (Sayid? , Jack?, Locke?, maybe all in tandem). Either way, we know Ben was older when it occured, so unless they do some serious time jumping, we're not likely to see the purge for a while.
ETA: Found the clip

Why was Peter Chang so warm and fuzzy in the recruiting center? It seems like he knows everyone so how can he get away with (and use) so many aliases (sp?) in the orientation videos?
This has been interesting to me. I always thought the dharma initiative would be bigger more compartmentalized.... instead everyone seems to know everyone.

is it possible that Jacob is Hurley's Dad?
left when Hurley was young (mother might have left the island to have Hurley), that's why Hurley's so tied to the Island and can see the cabin.
He's been driving Hurley to come back to the island by putting Libbey and that crazy doctor (recite numbers) in to the hospital with him. Staging the lottery.....just day dreaming.
what ya'll think?

I like Cheech and all, but I hope you are wrong on this one

is he the largest star they brought on to the show?
Pre-Lost, which actor had the most notoriety? Seems that they'd would have made his part important...otherwise, couldn't they just gotten a cheaper fill-in character?

I would imagine that Cheech's going rate these days isn't too high. I would also imagine that roles aren't flying his way left and right so I am sure he jumped at the opportunity to be on one of the most popular dramas on TV right now.
Also he can play a quirky Mexican which is what the role calls for.

Cheech = Jacob
Man, I hope you're wrong. That would be great comedy, but not the direction I want to see the show go.
ETA: Maybe they could show Jacob smoking a big fat joint with Tommy Chong.

Cheech threw Hurley an Island themed B-Day Party and then gave Hurley the Camero (again) the odometer and the trip mialage were the "numbers" and that sent him back to the hospital after they got off the island.
anyone got any more?

An Octagon sign (dharma) with the words "STOP" on it. As in he is leaving to "STOP Dharma"

In other news, the Dharma Initiative is also behind the Large Hadron Collider.

OK Episode. Too many cheesy moments. Sayid and the fake prostitute bar scene for example. I still hate Sayid and the shitty actor who plays him. Sayid's accent just pisses me off every time I hear it. Loved the ending of the episode. Kinda figured out what was going to happen, but I liked it. I'm anxious to see what happens.
