There was talk of Horace's eyes....
Interesting.....
Interesting.....
quote:
Horace was in the Barracks at the time of the Purge; he died while sitting on a bench. Ben discovered his body after coming back from having killed his father and showed his respect by closing Horace's eyes, a respect which Ben didn't pay to any of the other deceased.

I disagree. I think he was sent back in time. When you are thrown back in time your body does not age for the amount of time you were sent back. Richard sent himself back in time to say the year 1900 around when the black rock "crash landed" and he has been the same age since. Until he catches up 100 years then he can age again. The original inhabitants of the island might have been Egyptian or Atlantean.
quote:
There is a theory out there that lends credibility to this idea. It says that basically the numbers come from this equation that predicted the end of the world in like 2011. Dharma's sole purpose is to establish a timeloop on the island that never allows the island to advance to that year. The island basically jumps back 25 - 50 years when it approaches this date. This allows the world to continue because its entirety never reaches 2011.
I like these ideas. Clever theories (especially the first poster tieing it into the Lost Island of Atlantis).
Richard could have gone all the way back to the 1700's to become a crew member on the Black Rock to ensure that he would make it to the island (maybe they lose the ability to "track" the island in the future). Remember Julliette said that he is "really old". And I can agree with the theory that since he is in past time, he can't necessarily age.

If you look closely you can see that the statue is defiantly carrying two Ankh, one in each hand. Its for sure Egyptian.
The statue also appears to have pointed ears.
Sekhmet or Bast
Anubis statues traditionally have much more prominent ears.

I'm thinking they may never explain the statue. It may be one of those things to tease us, but we won't ever find out because it isn't important.

I'm hoping next season will be about the statue and the temple.

Who thinks Sawyer will be back with Kate and Jack back with Juliet? I do. I know opposites attract which suggests Kate/Jack and Juliet/Sawyer but I think it was pretty clear from what Sawyer said to Horace and the look on Sawyer's face when he saw Kate again that Sawyer still loves Kate.

I hope not.
I like the new sawyer. With Kate it was just sex. I think hopefully Sawyer is no longer sawyer. I think he is James probably in no small part because of Juliet.
The old sawyer would have only been mildly interested in the birth. He was almost tearing up when the baby was born.

Sawyer has been a drifter his whole life other than jail.
He has probably not spent 3 years in one place his adult life so I bet he has changed tons.

Hasn't Juliette always called him James? Maybe the writers were alluding to this the whole time...

Maybe they don't want to try and compete against the last episode of Idol???

Man, this thread is insane with all the crap ya'll are assuming.
Tyler, good call on how the show ends. pretty much called that word for word.
And Sawyer is a straight up pimp. I do wish he would call Juliette "Nipples" or something (like calling Kate "Freckles"). He did tell Horace though that three years is long enough to get over someone. I wonder if he'll stay true to that, or if he'll fall right back into the old crap with Kate again...
Also, should be interesting next episode...hopefully Jack and co. talk to Sawyer and co. and they kinda compare what all has been happening. Especially since Jack and co. brought Locke back to the island, and that's who Sawyer and co. have been waiting for for 3 years now.
Though it was good to finally see similar time frames finally. Jack and co. have been gone for 3 years, and Sawyer and co. were bouncing around to different time frames. Now, they are all on the "3 years since we've seen each other" time frame...they're just about 30 years behind the present time.
Also, who is Ray? I saw it was asked earlier but never answered.
Oh, and Kate is definitely >>> Juliette. It's not even close.

Jack and co. don't know that Locke is alive. Sawyer will be pissed when he learns that they've been waiting for him and then he went and offed himself.

This shouldn't matter. Sawyer should take both (menage a trois anyone) and leave Jack with Rosie and her five sisters.

True. But I meant more that he was with them on the plane.
Do any of Sawyer and co. know that Locke was planning on being dead at some point to bring the O6 back? I don't think they did, but I can't remember anything about this damn show.
