That is the first time I can remember that Ben had an "oh shite" look on his face when he woke up and saw Locke.

not that i remember.
and jacks convo with kate about when he was trying to save everyone maybe he was just getting in the way.
i loved hurley and miles' discussing all the time travel stuff. felt like the writers were just saying, we know its confusing and we are not going to just act like its not.

was i the only one that was waiting for Locke to go "boogieboogieboogie" to ben after he said "welcome to the world of the living".

When Hurley stumped the other guy! That was a great moment.

A couple of thoughts I have:
Kate saved Ben because she had been raising Aaron as her son and it was more difficult for her to let a young boy die. When they showed her crying when she was about to give up Aaron, you knew that compassion was the reason she couldn't let Ben die.
Also, I find it ironic that Jack refused to save Ben so they had to take him to the others. I assume that what they do will turn him in to the Ben we know. Maybe if Jack had saved his life at the barracks, he may not have ever joined the Others and lived a more normal, peaceful life.

Richard said this when he took ben..... "are you sure, if I take him, he will not remember any of this and will lose his innocence"

A few observations:
1. You guys still insist that Ben instigated the purge when he already told us he did not. He killed his dad, but not the rest of Dharma, and he did not call the shots. LINK
2. Why argue over why Kate, Sawyer, and Juliette saved Ben when they told us during the episode that the ladies couldn't let a kid die regardless of who he becomes. Both of them hold children dearly at this point. Sawyer told Kate that he did it for Juliette, which was a pretty big slap in the face to Kate.
3. Without Hurley, this show would be sorely lacking in the comedy department.
4. By trying to prevent Ben from growing up, Sayid actually set in place the actions that would cause Ben to become what he is.
5. Even if the Losties let Ben die, do you really think the others would have been nicer to them? After all, we have seen interaction by different groups with the others through several time periods (most of which ben was not the leader). Never have the others been extremely welcoming of outsiders. I think the treatment of the Losties by the others would have been as bad or worse regardless of who was in charge. At least with Ben, they know what they're getting.

i think this was the main point in the show last night. Whatever these people do, they aren't gonna change shite.

the look on Ben's face at the end of that linked video really gave me the impression that he was thinking "Ya'll would not believe me if I told you who the leader was." as in, it was you motherfrickers

So, y'all think the writers are being selective and just mean the part about Sayid shooting him, or everything in his life up to that point, meaning no remembrance of his dad, mom, or living as a Dharma as a kid...
ETA: Just watched the video link, Ben clear says, "their leaders", plural, so its likely that the Losties are the leaders after they force Ben to force Widmore to turn the wheel. (or something like that)

it can't be that because he remembers his dad and talks about him later (earlier in the series but a few years in the future from where the losties are now, but in the past compared to where Ben is now... I have a headache). or was that just a flashback, but not a memory?

I see what you mean, just saying that it might be a loophole the writers used.
