The part that bothers me is the “stuck in the attic scene” Almost immediately he breaks through onto russ’ bunk bed. Why did he not just simply crawl out? Instead he sits up there for hours freezing because he’s “stuck
Also, just break off that shitty little round window thing and fix it later. It’s the attic, who cares if it gets exposed to the elements for a few hours?

Those attic drop down ladders dont lock. Its just a spring. He should have been able to just push it

that's only if you dont water them.
fake trees are actually much more likely to go up in flames.

Where did they go to cut down the tree? They were in legit mountains. There is nothing like that near Chicago.
Northwest of Chicago when you get near the Galina area and into southern Wisconsin it's very hilly. LaCrosse, WI has some areas around the river valley that could look like that. Stretch of a drive for the Griswold's.

Clark obviously makes money so I've always wondered why he didn't have the $7500 in his account to cover the check for the pool. He's living paycheck to paycheck?

I think it was more the principle of the matter that pissed Clark off most. Though, it really doesn’t rise to the level of having a nervous breakdown. If he was hoping for a $22,000 bonus to cover the cost of putting a down payment on a lake house, that would justify the outburst.

Yep. I was pretty surprised last year going there. Ski resorts are there, so not out of the realm of what they showed.

“ Don't forget the rubber sheets and gerbils.”
I have watched Christmas Vacation probably a hundred times and never caught the gerbils part of Cousin Eddie’s line when they first showed up in the RV. Heard it this week.

What was the gift that everyone got the boss? All the same L shaped gifts.

How much of a dick is the dad for making them just leave Clark when they go to lunch? For all they know he's just finishing getting dressed or on the can, but frick him I'm hungry.

And why didnt he have any insulation in that attic?

The smokin’ hot department store clerk hiking her skirt up to display her panties. For Clark.

Bought them before, way too small and break easily

Maybe because he knew his energy bill for the month of December would have drained his account given the Christmas lights covering every inch of his house and the additional accomodations of all his relatives staying over.
