The late night shows are on too late for me now. I watched them when Letterman and Leno were on. Started watching Letterman when he started on CBS. The only Carson show I saw was the last one.

I watched Colbert's last show. Thought it was good.

Watched Comics Unleashed the following night and thought it sucked.

The last late night show will be The Tonight Show. It will never go off the air. NBC will keep in on even if it loses money and outlasts the others. CBS will not return and ABC will give it up after Kimmel is gone.

Too much has changed since Carson and Leno. The internet killed late night and Saturday Night Live. Politics has some impact, but not as big.
