For some reason this show holds some kind of magical, euphoric place in my brain. There were the dinosaurs, of course, but so much more. The Sleestak, the crystals in the pylons, danger at every turn, trying to get home, Chaka(?), all perfect to my ~8-11 year old mind. Not to mention that Holly was very near my age and made my pants a little tighter. I can't make myself watch it today for fear of the cheesiness that time has created would ruin the nostalgia for me.

dont forget the giant toothpick for 'grumpy' when he gets too close to the cave

The moment Enik discovers that the Sleestak aren't his ancestors, but his descendants, hit me pretty hard as I recall.

I remember that episode vividly. Hit me too.

Wasn't there an episode where they find a old miner who somehow ended up there after a cave in or something?

That reminds me of a more obscure Saturday morning show from the 70's.

Does anyone remember Korg 70,000 BC?

Korg

It was pretty far out there, but very educational.

Lol came here to post this. I usually like anything Danny McBride is in, but that movie was so bad I couldn't even finish it.

didnt they switch castmembers after a couple years? seems like someone got out..and someone else joined them?

its a little fuzzy but it seems like there was like a new uncle or something that showed up.

The father was sent home using the pylons and about the same time the uncle showed up. He had been looking for them and ended up in the same spot.

I remember the show and liked it. With dialogue like "Meat Mara - give strong bones!" it was a winner. I think there was one episode where they end up at the seashore and some meat gets wet but doesn't spoil so they figure out that it's the salt that preserved it.

The stuff you remember!!!
