There is? I really didn't know. As someone who considered himself a HUGE Star Wars fan when Disney took it over, it is shocking to me that I didn't know this.

if you didn't like Andor season 1 maybe you aren't as big a star wars fan as you thought. it's great.

How does Andor relate to this conversation in any way?

Ooooh. See, that's the part you missed. I had no idea any new Star Wars anything was coming out in 2 months. First I've heard of it. That's how unexciting Kathleen Kennedy Star Wars is.

But it isn't a new series. You misspoke there.

On another note, I don't think Filoni or Favreau are the guys you want to hand the keys to. They are too invested and can't see the forest from the trees. I would get someone that can hire good talent and can come up with good stories. There are about a million stories to be told in this universe and Rey's future isn't one of them.

I didn't mean a new new series was coming out, just that a new star wars series release was coming and a lot of people are excited about it.

i'll edit it for clarity

Yeah Andor and Rogue One are great additions to the Star Wars lore. The Mandalorian just sort of fizzled for me at the end.

All the other ones were meh. Skeleton Crew was nice, but doesn't add anything. Ashoka was ok. Obi-Wan was a disaster and such a waste of talent. The Acolyte was better than I thought it would be, but still not good.

They need a reset. I would scrap all of the Rey shite, and go back to the beginning, and start there. Tons of stories to be told

No, I had a friend that was her assistant many years ago. She is basically Ari Gold from Entourage for better and worse.

Nope, that's not it. That's what tends to happen when the overwhelming majority of what a company is putting out is absolute garbage.

She killed two franchises in Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

I don't think she's had much to do with it, but the new Indiana Jones game on XBox is fantastic and the story is good. Great voice actors, everything.

If you want a return to Indiana Jones pre-Disney, it's as close as you're going to get right now.

Well… bye.

I’m hoping whoever takes over next is willing to put out GOOD stuff instead of just blatantly pushing an agenda or letting a director totally shite all over everything as part of letting them do their “vision.”

In general, they may as well reboot a good chunk of the post-ROTJ stuff.

They won’t necessarily get Ford or Hamill back, and can’t get Fisher back, but a fresh start can’t be much worse than what they put out.

I mean she’s in her 70s…..

There is zero reason to think this is an expression of disapproval of how she ran things.

Don't we always complain about people who aren't invested in the lore, who don't know what they're doing regarding the history of these properties? Next to George Lucas himself, there's nobody as qualified as Filoni.
