I loved the show. It is still one of my all-time favorites. The dialogue was outstanding.

My one nit to pick:
Ava being arrested after the body she and Boyd dumped was found in the 75-foot deep dogleg of a mine.
Boyd knew dynamite well enough to throw a stick down there and that body would never have been found.

Justified is one of those shows that hits me real hard. It’s so god damn fricking good. Boyd is a GOAT character. And as many have said, that last scene. It hit me like somebody swung a whole damn sack of bricks right into my gut.

Season 2 was probably its peak. And yet everything else was still great. Except for that dumb mother fricker Choo Choo and then Boon. I kinda hated those characters. But you gotta have some low points.

Agreed. Probably the best villain they introduced got killed in his only episode with the table cloth trick.

Favorite scene for me might be Raylan moving the arm out of the way in the piggy bank scene.

I think they cut it off when it was time. 6 seasons with 12-13 episodes per season.

if Justified would have been condensed to 4 seasons or so, it could be up there for GOAT. it had too many episodes and that detracted from it overall. season 2 is one of the best seasons of any TV show ever and they perfectly set up a long form boyd/raylan conflict, but it got bogged down too much

Justified is top notch TV without a doubt.

Of course Raylan and Boyd are GOAT but so many great supporting cast members as well.

Art

Wynn Duffy

The list goes on and on but those two are a couple of the best supporting cast in TV history imo.

Solid? Maybe best ever.

Wynona

I want to walk like Raylan.

Hated Boyd.

Watch The Crazies. Olyphant basically plays Raylan as a Sheriff in a small town.

One of my all time favs

Loved the different renditions of You’ll Never Leave Harlan Alive in each season finale

Wynn Duffy was such a great villain. Even Quarrels too

Just wish you could remove Rapaport

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love this show. Boyd is one of my favorite characters ever.

I thought after S2 it had potential to be a Tier One television drama when all was said and done. But it never got there. I don't think it's in the same conversation as The Wire, Sopranos, The Shield, et al.

I wish the overall arc was more serious and there were fewer stand alone episodes.

One of my favorite Darrell Scott songs...the different renditions for each season finale was an awesome touch.

The season finale of season 1 is the best finale of any show ive ever seen. It ends somehow or another with raylan drawn down on boyd, and boyd telling him that he may be the only friend he has... rayland lets him go and then then cue the song Ten Million Slaves bu Otis Taylor as Boyd drives off. I dont remember all the factors but damn it was good. Walton Goggins may be the most underrated character actor of our generation. Saw him working out in a hotel gym in nola once. Took everything in me to not yell BOYD!

When Raylan dropped the bullet and said the next one is coming faster, I lost it. That was so goddamn badass.

Two of TV's best ever adversaries.

This really is the only thing stopping this show from being in that argument of “best show ever”.

Just finished this. Overall, I liked it a lot. I read this thread and here are a few of my thoughts on the series.

Boyd was awesome. Great acting, great character.

Wynn Duffy was terrific. The writing and acting of his character was so well done. Maybe be my second favorite.

I too think Winona is hotter than Ava. Natalie Zea is a sexy woman, and did well with the part.

Michael Rapaport wow. He just doesn’t have the acting chops. He looked the part but I found his acting was almost caricaturish at times. It wasn’t a deal breaker (like Trace Adtkins in Hickok) It almost worked.

I wasn’t crazy about the Ava in prison storyline.

Season 1 with all the stand alone episodes wasn’t as good as the rest of the series but still good TV. I thought the East Coast CI was really good. Can’t remember his name but he amused me.

And Limehouse and Dickie Bennett were good too.

Lot of murdering yet few went to jail when you think about it. Most were murdered themselves eventually. It was a great series. Highly recommended

Count me in. Fantastic show. I finished the series last night and can’t stop thinking about it. I’m actually sad it’s over. Really good tv. The dialogue set it apart from other shows. Boyd and Raylan made for complicated and compelling adversaries. Gonna really miss the dialogue.

Without a doubt one of the best series finales in TV history.

One of my Top Five all time TV shows, but I’m a big Elmore Leonard fan.
