Just finished a major binge of Justified. I had never watched it when it aired. Solid series. Sure not perfect in all seasons but overall, a great series to watch and not extremely long. I think they cut it off when it was time. 6 seasons with 12-13 episodes per season.

Plus a few nice things to look at. I leave you with Ava Crowder.

Season two is best.

And Wynona > Ava

Those are two undeniable truths.

Up there with The Wire and Breaking Bad for me. Boyd Crowder is one of the best tv characters ever.

Spoiler

The end kind of bothered me. If the show had any balls, either Raylan or Boyd would have died in a final showdown. That’s how the show should have ended. Honestly, I think Raylan probably should have been the one to die.

It was more than solid imo. I have it up there with the Wire and GOT.

Raylan and Boyd were both amazing.
That last scene cut me deep "we dug coal"

Ava is hotter to me but it’s cutting hairs

Wynona will always be the psyco nimpho from Californication to me.

One of the few series I bought on blu ray just to have it. It exceeds a lot of shows in its writing, casting, and sense of place.

And Wynona would get it. Ava was hotter in the first couple of seasons but kind of averaged out as the series wore on.

Who was more pathetic, Dewey Crowe or Dickie Bennett?

Dickie was a gimp whose own family didn’t give a shite about him and he refused to believe it.

Dewey was just stupid but lovably so.

I really liked the series, but after the first 3 seasons I thought it turned into "this bad guy is worse than the last" each year, and at some point that's not sustainable.

Justified isn't the first show to do this, and it's better than any other show that has done it. It's a formula to have the good guy win and still have formidable bad guys.

Big fan of Justified. I think I've seen every episode 3 times.

Dewey Crowe was the goat.

Loved Justified. Top three show all time for me. Olyphant is great. Boyd is in talks for all time best supporting character. Maybe the one of the best ending scenes/lines of dialogue ever.

The dialogue is what sets it apart for me. Great television.

“Well I suppose if I allow myself to be sentimental, despite all that has occurred, there is one thing I wander back to.”

“We dug coal together.”

“That’s right.”

Oh, man. I remember watching the episode live and that was one that just fricking hit you. I was always sure that Raylan would always kill Boyd, or vice versa, but honestly I think they got it right. There were plenty of times throughout the show where they had the chances to kill one another, but deep down they still had that common thread.
