Oh and sucks for DC that Netflix is dropping Punisher Season One tomorrow. Just saw a preview for it here at the movies. That's gonna have a small effect.

An extremely small effect, if any. Punisher won't take an entire weekend to watch and it won't cost the viewer an extra penny.

Just saw it, was far better then BvS or Suicide Squad. But still not on par with Wonder Woman or The Avengers. Once again I think like BvS it suffers from DC moving too fast and not enough solo movies. There was a ton of exposition and little back story on Auquaman or Flash. Also the CGI was pretty meh for Cyborg.

The good is all the characters had some cool moments with Auqaman being the big surprise here. The action was really well done minus some of the CGI. Superman also had the best line during his fight with the rest of the League.

While it does have flaws it's an improvement over everything else DCEU minus Wonder Woman

Just got out.

Went in with very low expectations and was pleasantly surprised.

Very very well done and easily (the bar was god damn low) the best of DC's movies to date.

Wonder Woman still takes over any scene she is in.

And we have settled once and for all just how powerful Superman is...(some serious bat arse kicking).

Honestly I felt it was almost as good as the first Avengers (Avengers had better humor) plot wise...though...the big bad was pretty terrible.

Everything said above plus

The movie didn't leave me saying, "Man I wanna see that again. I know I missed some cool stuff."

This is easily a movie you can just see once and move on with, there wasn't anything about it that made it a must rewatch.

6/10 IMO

Actually not as disappointed as I was with BvS and later on with MoS.

Honestly it's a big step in the right direction for the DCEU and the incredible potential they have and will be realized the more they get as far away from Zack Snyder as they can.

Honestly, when they reviving Superman and he started fighting the league half naked, I thought I was turning a little bit gay. That is one manly handsome bastard. He's probably the closest I've ever seen to be an OT 10. There were a few college chicks in the row next to me and they were looking at him like a hungry wolf at steak.

I think this movie really showcased just how powerful Superman is and how he could easily defeat any one of the avengers in the MCU. He could see Flash at Super Speed and slow him down and eventually bring him down and then throw Wonder Woman down like a rag doll and those two can defeat any avenger in the MCU as well.

But honestly, Superman improved leaps and bounds and he's closer than ever to what made Christopher Reeve a perfect Superman. I'm honestly pretty excited to see him in Man of Steel 2 now that I know DC is moving him in that direction and that fat hack Zack Snyder will not be involved. I'll try to find a good avi to celebrate this change.

With that said, the rest of the movie is just ok and there's definitely a good improvement. Like I said last night, Whedon did everything he could to clean up the stench from Snyder but it's still Zack fricking Snyder and there's no wiping that stain out of the carpet.

The story was a bit rushed, it was definitely lacking in charisma and charm sometimes, and this movie would gel better if there was other movies developing a background for the rest of the league.

The CGI in this movie was definitely a bit too much and definitely a trademark of the shitty disaster porn being the only thing that Zack Snyder may know how to do.

All in all, it's not a perfect movie, hell, it's not even a great movie but it's a decent movie that's a step in the right direction and a good sign of the great potential that DCEU has without Zack Snyder and it has complement leadership with the right directors and screen writers.

I want to see Superman fighting the league like that again.

I honestly thought I was turning a little gay right there as I was completely struck by that awesome display of handsome manliness. No wonder Henry Cavill is such an excellent casting for Superman.

The few college girls further down the row from me were looking at him like a hungry wolf at steak.

Didn't like the Cyborg character and his CGI was bad. Flash was OK. Wonder Woman and Aqua Man were awesome. Batman and super man...meh.

5/10.

Someone is gonna end up making Superman eyeing Flash, and Flashes realization face into a .gif that will get plenty of use on the OT

Just left.

Best DC film aside from Wonder Woman.

Not incredible by any means, but I enjoyed it. Anyone who comes out bashing it went into the movie with their decision already made.

Loved Flash, Cyborg and Aquaman. Only part I hated was the reunion with Adams and Superman at the farm. Ultra cringe.

I might need to rewatch this. I'll admit I had a busy day and was kinda tired going in.

I thought it was mediocre. Steppenwolf did not look good. Best part of the movie was seeing Deathstroke in the after credits scene.

ETA: Amber Heard looked hot as hell

Just got home. It was okay. It's definitely better than BvS & SS. This definitely was rushed. No one would've been mad at all if DC would've started their character/world building just like Marvel did, because these characters definitely deserved it. The jokes and funny lines were pretty great, some felt out of place during the final battle, but most were pretty funny.

Steppenwolf was very generic and the CGI wasn't that great for him.

The Lois Lane role was just kind of thrown in. Amy Adams just doesn't fit here.

Gal Gadot as Diana/WW is the best thing to happen to the DCEU, because she steals every scene she's in.

I actually like Affleck in the more dark, solo film Batman role than this but he was okay.

The Flash and Aquaman were my two surprises, they just deserved more character building or a solo film before this. The lasso of truth scene with Aquaman was hilarious. Ezra Miller is solid as the Flash.

Cyborg was just okay to me. He was a big part of the plot, but he was the weakest of the group. His CGI did look better than from the trailers though.

Arguably the two coolest post-credits scenes in a superhero movie yet.

Elfman's score was solid. Loved hearing the Batman & Superman themes.

All in all, it wasn't great, but it was far from terrible. Fun but flawed. Hopefully it is the first step in a continued path that DC will be on with their films from here on out. I think they're now on the right track.

This Flash was so much better in every way than the gloomy doofus of the Netflix show. And he looks and acts like a young thin Jimmy Fallon.

Aquaman was great.

I liked Steppenwolf. I also liked how Superman whipped him with ease. Superman seemed more powerful than ever. Loved the scene where he beats up on the JL.
