No, not so fast my friend. Frick the newer viewers. If we had to watch the embarrassment that season eight was then so do they.

Who has a better story than Bran? I mean, he disappeared for an ENTIRE SEASON and then came back as a main character.
WHAT A LEGEND!!!

WHAT A LEGEND!!!

Bran was the worst character in game of thrones, only got worse when he turned into the three-eyed raven.

but what a way to go out on top.
I have a gut feeling this will not be a popular take.
Assuming you're not trolling, I'm sort of glad somebody enjoyed the ending.

He's trolling. He's "assuming" the series ended with the Wall coming down at the end of the seventh season.

I hope one day in the not too distant future they decide to remake season 8 and season 8 was all a dream of Bran’s. Still get pissed off about that final season. That series finale is worse than Dexter’s and I never thought that would be possible. To the poster who said it felt completely different from the rest of the seasons, you are spot on. It felt like I was watching one of those made for TV series events on NBC or CBS. Absolute trash.

-Season 8 felt like they didn’t have enough material and had to turn characters mentally to create the drama. Turning Dany into a crazed murderous dictator was ridiculous.
-Making the wet piece of paper character known as Bran into the king was even more ridiculous.
-Sending Jon (the rightful heir to the throne) back to the wall for killing aforementioned dictator was dumb
The writers seemed to top themselves each episode culminating in the steaming pile of dragon dung known as the finale.

That last season ... it’s like someone else entirely were the show runners .
S7 sucked too
1-4 are some of the best TV ever made
5 is trash
6 was okay, had some high highs and low lows
7 is horrid
8 is indescribable filth

He had this amazing power that everyone thought he was going to use to save the world/or alter the present. And he literally did frick all with it when it mattered. The ending scene of all of them sitting at the table was just salt in the wound.

The show poetically went south when the setting did. The dornish storyline should have died with Oberyn's splattered head

At some point during 8?
If you REALLY want to watch the beginning of season 8, I'd stop after the Battle of Winterfell.

I agree. I thought the Battle of Winterfell was very well done. One could reasonably stop after that episode.

By the finale, I could have accepted a St. Elsewhere ending w/ Bran as the little autistic kid staring at a snow globe.
It's incredible; I defended the show even into the first 2 episodes of season 8, fully getting ready to binge watch the entire series once it was done. Yet I haven't rewatched a single episode since the finale.

The final season crushed me. I so desperately wanted it to be good but it was steaming garbage. Dany’s absurd mental turn. Jon the rightful heir. Bran the most boring character.
What’s insane is I feel like the show runners took unnecessary risks for that final season and that’s why it turned out to be a huge turd. Nobody suspected Bran would be king except for a few memes. I firmly believe that’s why they made him king, and they wrote the rest of the season around that. Like one big “gotcha” that they thought people would like bc they never saw it coming. But they forgot the huge journey fans had been on, and you don’t want to end the journey with something like that. It wasn’t the time to outwit the fans again

Obviously that will never happen, but I am holding out hope that some one will go down a rabbit hole and re-edit the last two seasons to make some kind of sense. That will probably never happen either unfortunately.
