Just got out. Took my family and met up with a friend that brought his. I thought it was decent. Some scenes are really great, and some are kind of boring. The kids all loved it though and that's what's important. I will say that the score still hits me. The scene where they're all in awe of the Titanosaurus and the score kicks in, that's still cinematic bliss to me.

The score is top notch for sure. When it hits, all the nostalgia floods back.

The best parts of this movie were the score and the odyssey trailer. Everything else was a snooze fest.

Watched it this morning and didn’t like it. It was just bad. The CGI during the rapids and the waterfalls is comically awful. Very predictable and cliché. What I expect from Hollywood nowadays.

I saw it and thought it was okay. Good for the memberberries and I liked the music. There were a sprinkling of call backs to the first movie which were okay.
Don't think too hard about much of anything. The family makes no sense being there but the call backs required it.
When a good person is in danger the dinosaurs move with less speed than Fred the Zarn pet from the land of the lost. People who deserve it are eventually apprehended when needed. Scarlett Johansson was fairly unlikable until you compared her with the evil mercenaries she commands but apparently shares no culpability for befriending and employing.
There's a very mysterious suggestion that just having the genetic material (or hemoglobin?!?) from the biggest aquatic, land, and flying dinosaur will automatically produce the mechanism for slowing atherosclerosis. Which to me seems like the second Star Wars trilogy invoking midichlorians but whatever.
It's a big stupid hopefully fun movie. Go watch it if you enjoy Godzilla versus Kong.

Just got out. T-Rex scene was cool and the third act was the best, but this was a bad movie.
Terrible characters, horrible dialogue, and ScarJo has to be one of the worst A list actor in the game. Dinosaurs were mostly boring. A “D-Rex.” Looked like a pug mated with a T-Rex.
I had low expectations and just wanted to be entertained but yikes.

6/10. What I liked about the Jurassic Park movies were how suspenseful they were and the dinosaurs were scary. They had an element of horror to them. Helps that the dinosaurs looked realistic.
These Jurassic World movies are more like action-comedy movies.

Watched it today with the wife. Saw in XD and 3D and it was decent but some of the scenes were just so cheesy. The girl moving the raft while the t-rex was right there. I looked at my and just shook my head. Dinosaur and the scenery were great and it wasn't terrible but i give it a 5 out of 10.

Just watched it today. I thought it was better than the 3 Chris Pratt movies. Felt more of a return to the original 3 films. Original movie is the best and nothing has come close to capture that magic again.

Finally got to seeing it some out of the theater thoughts
The good
The overall tone of the movie was much closer to the first two which is extremely refreshing with the other World movies being more action and Marvel like
The river raft scene was pretty excellent minus the Rex not being able to tear through the raft
While I didn't love any of the characters I didn't hate them either they seemed a lot more realistic than Pratt and Bryce
Dinosaurs felt like actual animals again none of this turning them into mascots or big evil villains
This might be somewhat controversial but I actually didn't mind the family they were obviously put in to offer a second story but it was a decent one and gave us a chance to see some more dino hunting
While no main characters were killed it did seem like there were actually consequences here and the threat was very real
The bad
The little dinosaur was there just to sell toys and it was so obvious it offered nothing to the story expect to look cute
The fake out death annoyed me especially with how it happened. The D Rex was attracted to light so let's literally another flare and shine a spot light
The plot was pretty stupid and how the D Rex escaped was also dumb. Felt like the writers didn't really try
The public getting tried of dinosaurs is pretty ridiculous felt like you could have Loomis join another way
I think this might have been the fewest species in a Jurassic film since the first movie. They better find a way to expand the dino population in the next one
Overall a much better entry than the last two and possibly even better than the first Jurassic World movie. I'll have to rewatch to see where it truly ranks but right now

Absolute garbage had to apologize to my kid for bringing him and ruining the Jurassic legacy. I can't believe some of you think this was a good movie my god. Idk what was worse the plotline the dinosaurs or the pathetic acting. Horrible

Listen, I love Jurrsssic Park and the Lost World. Theyre top movies to me.They’re the only movies I personally consider cannon. After that…. I’m more than willing to distance the rest of the movies in the franchise to watch them as independent dinosaur movies

I said this after I saw it early and watched the pre-release reviews.
There are 2 camps.
Those who compare the movie to JP and delude themselves into believing some sequels are close to JP.
Then there are those who separate JP from the rest and judge the rest against each other as summer popcorn dinosaur movies.
That's the separation in the reviews.
It makes no sense to say this ruined the legacy of JP when JP3 and Dominion existed prior. Those are legitimately horrible movies.

No dude, no one is expecting it to be the original. It’s just a horrible film filled with flimsy characters, bad writing, emotionless execution and lazy acting. The performances are phoned in, the action is suspense less, there are no stakes. Even the setup with the family is ludicrous. It’s just a terrible film man. No one was expecting Jurassic Park. They weren’t even expecting lost world or Jurassic world.
