I liked the parallel with the kid in the lab

Instead of humans hiding from cloned raptors in the kitchen in the original, you had a cloned human hiding from the humans that probably cloned her in JWFK

Unless there was a second and third boat that brought back another load of dinosaurs and they were in a different part of the house, they didn’t bring enough back to start a large enough population to become an invasive species type of threat to mankind.

If they stick with the James Bond openers, I want the opening of the next one to be a flashback seeing all of the dinosaurs in their element 65 million years ago. The audience will think it is present day until an asteroid falls from the sky. Cut to present day.

No JPIII was just awful, idiot step dad takes step kid to illegal island. Grant acts like an idiot and doesn't research the people paying him. Ellie and Grant broke up because reasons. Cell phone still works in Spino stomach and raptor call saves them.

At least the a dino black market makes sense

I never got the Jurassic Park III hate. I hate The Lost World much more. It's so slow. Every few years I tell myself to give it another chance and each time I'm bored to death.

I could have done without the subtle Donald Trump joke where the bad guy in charge of the rescue operation calls the paleoveterinarian a "Nasty women".
I lost interest in the movie for the next several minutes after that.

and what happens now that they let all of these creatures loose into the world?

all 10 of them? all females? probably some dentist from minnesota will take a few out, and the rest will die in a few years either from poachers or shitty luck in nature.

Not sure what i'm supposed to be scared about having a couple of large elephants and 4 predators released into the wild with no ability to reproduce.

And that retarded Brontosaurus should have gotten into the ocean instead of giving up on life. For starters, they werent' actually as tall as they are portrayed in this movie, but they had to be a good 70-80 feet where their head is at in this movie. Get in the damn water moron, you can touch the bottom.

This movie felt like a full on kids movie. It didn't feel like it was made for adults at all.

There was more then 10 and all of the dinosaurs in the first one were female and were able to breed. That was the big reveal in JP

The book Lost World was its own jumbled mess, which is well documented because the book was kinda forced due to the success of the first book/movie.

But despite that, the movie would've done a lot better had it stayed true to the book. The whole San Diego thing was just stupid.

I enjoyed it. The second half had a lot more slight horror and tense moments, which was good.

quote:

It also had the spitting dino during the opening helicopter scene when the guy is in the yellow slicker (perfect call back as the dino would remember Nedry's yellow rain coat)

You could hear the dino make the noise early and then he turned around. I kept waiting for it to show up next to him.

I think it was a brachiosaurus that was crying on the dock, not that it matters. I could’ve done without that scene. Apparently, it has upset a lot of younger kids. As an animal lover, it got to me a little.

Let us keep in mind that this is a fictional movie about dinosaurs. I dont think a phone surviving stomach acid and still ringing is too much of a shocker considering dinosaurs and all.

you fricking snowflake. Sad scenes happen all the time in movies. Its part of the emotional roller coaster of a movie. This movie wasnt made FOR children.

To answer OP, the movie was entertaining, but the plot wasnt very well done in my opinion. The bad guys were selling dinosaurs to Russian arms dealers in their underground layer? Lol I thought that was too much..

Dude is saying that the scene is too much for kids. That’s sad and laughable imo. Land Before Time had some sad moments back in that time.

I liked it. I didn't think it was better than Jurassic World but it was good.

Started off a little slow but overall I give it around a 7 out of 10. The special effects were really cool and it was a bit darker than the other Jurassic movies.

Plus I just like Blue. She's cool.
