Hopefully the trailer will shed light on whether this will be an action or slow drama type of film.

Joaquin was born to play this role, I do worry about him after this role since he is very much a method actor. Hope he got another light role after to do a cleanse of sorts.

Yep I agree.
Ledger had a performance of a generation as Joker, but I think Joaquin is every bit as talented and more than capable of the "insane" character.
I think it'll be somewhat similar and maybe just as good. The movie won't get as much mainstream play and talk because it's not a huge Batman popcorn flick from what it appears, but I'm really looking forward to it.

Finally read the Killing Joke the other day. Man there are so many different ways they could've gone with the Joker... instead we get fricking Jared Leto's version in SS.

I'm convinced one of the reasons Marvel chose Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange was to keep DC from hiring him to play the Joker in a bad-arse Killing Joke movie.
The other reasons were to keep him from putting on a motion capture suit to play Brainiac in a Superman movie or Darkseid in a Justice League movie.
