I've always liked Mulaney but he definitely seems like one of the dudes that appears harmless but has a ton of demons.

I mean, he's admitted multiple times in his shows that he used to be a "blackout drunk", and I imagine that is indicative of a personality that is predisposed to addiction.

This thread seems to have two takes on his wife:

1. That she was a terrible person who either drove/assisted his dependency or cheated on him, OR...

2. She was a good person and he's been a POS for divorcing her.

No idea which is true, but the belief of one or the other is probably pretty telling on the person saying it.

I don’t think either of these things. I think Mulaney’s addiction is what led to the breakup. It’s not healthy for Mulaney nor her to drink a bottle of wine in front of him a night. I don’t think either one of them is the bad guy here.

We have tickets to see him Wednesday night at the Mahalia Jackson Theater.

Only $28 for balcony seats. After paying $160 for upperdeck seats for Chapelle, this feels like quite a bargain.

Being a road comic is probably the biggest enabler of them all, but I wouldn’t expect him to give that one up

The least they do is go back to their Motel room and drink all night.

Then there's hookers and blow.

There's no spousal oversight or fear. Comics already are messed up mentally to a degree, then you put them on the lonely road?

Never heard a comic say touring was awesome. Just fear and self-loathing.

Yeah, we got a good deal too. Saw Burr there last year. Great place to see a comic.

Didn't Mulaney knock up Munn and they already broke up?

Sounds like he still has issues. Munn doesn't seem very stable either.

Kind of my point is I think they both have issues they need to work on and both likely egg each other on in what they mean no harm, but inevitably causes it. From this I still think they love each other, but they’re not good for one another.

Definitely seems like the most likely scenario than the black and white "someone has to be the villain" concept.

Chapelle is great, but I don't know if I would consider him nearly 6x the experience.

Having worked with some addicts at this point, sometimes you need to get away from the situation that was enabling your substance use to remain clean. And sometimes two perfectly decent people can be toxic when together.

Far too much of a gray area in these situations to say one person or another is inherently bad when a relationship fails.

Plus the $160 included sets from Jeff Ross, Donnell Rawlings, Tom Segura, Joe Rogan and Dave Chappelle.

Saw one of his specials- he was talking about how Obama did a great job. I always appreciate these stable famous people that tell me how I should vote.

Sucks he’s gonna lose half his stuff. Would have been cheaper to put her on a set with Alec Baldwin.

What if your wife is the reason you're in rehab?

I'm a dumbass, didn't look at the date.
