I've heard people "Have demons in the heads" my whole life. When I moved to a new town after the 9th grade, all of the other kids in the neighborhood told me a girl three years older than me had "Snakes in her head."

She wasn't dumb. Just a little crazy. One of the best looking girls in town too. I'd have married her, but she was a freshman in college and I was in 10th grade. It was like she'd play with me when she came home from college. Her dad didn't want her around me either. He hadn't spent all of that money sending her to private schools just to have me get her pregnant and move into a double-wide.

She wanted to steal a watermelon once. I took her fishing at the pond near a patch, we stole one, put it in the pond, and ate it after it cooled down. I'd done that nearly every time my buddies and I fished in her daddy's pond, and stole a melon. out of one of his patches. She acted like we got away with robing a bank.
