Holzhauer has correctly answered 129 of his first 133 attempts on "Jeopardy!"
That's unreal

I would take him over Ken Jennings any day of the week.
I don't know. I feel like he isn't as quick on the buzzer as Jennings was.
He's a smart guy. There is no doubt about that. But he is getting lucky finding the daily doubles before everyone else. The woman today had a shot, but she blew it. Someone is either going to have to beat him at his own game or he'll have to run into a daily double late that he doesn't know that sends him back to zero.

Dude has that goofy look and assholio attitude that causes me to wanna slap his face .... other than that, good luck to him!!! He has no conscience like any good professional bettor.

Dude has the most wicked underbite smile I've ever seen.

You can tell his parents rode him about how much his braces cost and he better smile so people can see them.

Yeah, he left the door open early. She’d probably win 2-3 days normally, but she just ran into a buzzsaw.
Both of the other contestants seemed to attempt using similar strategy by starting at high values and jumping around. No luck. He just wrecked shite again.

You know he is a badass player when he won around 58K and it dropped his daily average.
Also, he looks like Joe Hardly from South Park with the raging clue face.

he could set an all-time record, but his gambling ways are eventually going to cost him that.. i think.. haha.

runaway game again today even though pretty much nothing went his way.
today showcased a few different things:
1) he is not unbeatable on the buzzer
2) he will bet intelligently on DDs and final within the context of the game. he knows that a potential large wager is not worth as much as winning the game and coming back for future winnings. you'd think it's a simple concept, but it eludes many.
3) he does occasionally miss, and in big moments (DDs/FJ)
4) you HAVE TO BET AGGRESSIVELY AND INTELLIGENTLY TO BEAT HIM
5) you HAVE TO GET TO THE DDs BEFORE HE DOES TO BEAT HIM
4 and 5 are huge reasons why he is and likely will continue to be so successful. other contestants have no idea how to wager or how to take advantage when they do have control of the board. james is incredibly knowledgeable. at absolute best, you are close to his equal there. you have to beat him through wagering and gameplay.

6) When he sees another contestant gets a correct response on a topic, he avoids it like the plague, even if he also knows the topic well.

it's not getting any less ridiculous. this run is amazing. i would already put him in the top 5-6 players of all time.
ken and brad are pretty untouchable for james until we see him compete in the type of tournaments they have. to me, the second tier is (no order) matt jackson, alex jacob, and roger craig. james is right at that level already. after that you get david madden, julia collins, larissa kelly, etc...

When he went all in on the daily double late in round 1 and missed , I was shocked but then he bounced back and crushed in round 2

2nd time that has happened and i don't think we will ever see him bet anything but the maximum in single jeopardy. only 1/3 of the money available in the game is in the single jeopardy round. there is essentially no reason not to bet whatever you have in single jeopardy, and james understands this

I noticed this too.

Pretty incredible what he’s doing. Guy in the middle today was in awe of him

He has a great strategy and he builds such a lead that he can take huge risks on the Daily Doubles. He was amazing today.

Another one-day record, over $130,000. He now owns the four highest one-day totals. Earned almost $700,000 in 10 games. Those poor women today had no shot.

I only got 30 correct. Hopefully, he'll be long gone by next year. Haha
