So…I know Chapter One of the DCU.

I’m not going to leak it, because I don’t want to take any of the buzz away from the announcement tomorrow.

All I’ll say is…I was way wrong about it only being 3-4 movies lol

More tomorrow!

What a time to be alive.

A couple things I’ll share that don’t spoil anything:

We can officially put to bed any of the rumors or theories of Gunn bringing The Batman into the DCU.
Reeves/Pattinson are staying firmly on their own.

And…there’s stuff coming that NOBODY predicted.

DCU not moving forward with one of their cash cows. Such a DC move.

I liked his Suicide Squad film. Much better than that garbage we got the first time

That's an extremely low bar.

Why’d they make the movie then?

The Suicide Squad was a James Gunn movie. So expect more dreck.

I don't think we can blame Gunn for the failures of that movie - there were a TON of edits in a weird attempt to make it more like GotG. If anything it proved that WB had no idea what they wanted, other than "be Marvel".

Just watch the original trailer. It's clear the original concept has NOTHING in common with the movie we got. SS probably had more edits than JL.

This is fantastic news

We FINALLY get ANOTHER new Superman reboot/actor and ANOTHER new Batman reboot/actor everyone has been clamoring for

The fans hated Caville and are ecstatic about the possibility of a grooming tranny kidnapper staying on as the Flash

much excite

Gunn didn't do the first SS movie. That was David Ayer. He did the second one.

You're right - my bad.

The second movie was enjoyable. Not sure I get the poster's hate for it then.

When Iron Man came out, we didn't know anything about Phase 1 or even the MCU at that point. There were hints, but nothing was set in stone.

I don't necessarily disagree but the circumstances are quite a bit different. Marvel went all in on the Iron Man movie and had an end credit scene at the end just in case. They didn't even know at the time just how big they were going to be.

DC rushed their universe and we're just now seeing them do a full reset to make up for their mistakes, they have to show fans they actually have a plan this time.

I mostly remember this as a Green Lantern / Flash vehicle, but I wonder if they'll go with the Batman version due to the animated series.

It's the recent series with Batman and Damian Wayne/Robin.

I think it's smart to bring in Robin, and not have it be just another Batman film
