what would you consider an appropriate end for this show?

well that's not really the job of the viewer. a major point of entertainment is surprise, and that would be part of the surprise

it's the journey and if you find that boring or repetitive then fine, dont watch

well it's repetitive and it forces conflict with some absurdity. those are the 2 major issues with the journey of the show

*ETA: i haven't watched, even 2nd hand, in over a season i don't think. i have no idea what's actually going on. i'm speaking generally

I lost interest and skipped second half of season 4. This has been one of the better seasons. The only gripe that I have is that only ancillary characters die

Loved season 1 and 2. Pretty awful sense. Haven't watched at all this season.

I don't see how you could have ever truly been a fan if you lost interest this season

This half season has me completely uninterested and I've lost all desire to watch the show.

I quit when they were walking the railroad tracks. Even at that point I was simply giving it chances to win me back over. The show is full of good ideas, but the writers don't deliver well and drag story lines on for way too long. It's boring

Hate seems a bit harsh. I lost interest due to boredom, but it's not a terrible show.

As a comic book reader, I recommend to keep on watching... It's about to get really good. Everything is about to change

Been the way for a few seasons now. The dialogue is extremely lazy and the characters are over-acted. Its a simple show for simple minded people.

I'm in the same boat. It has become a chore to watch the show. I can only watch them get in trouble and then miraculously get out of it so many times. I hate it because I have watched the show since it first came out, but it's losing me slowly.

completely agree.

The show understands its audience and is giving them what they want: A fun, action-packed show with plenty of zombie killing and conflict.

I actually think the show has gotten much better as it finally understands what type of show it is.

My expectations for the season 6 finale are extremely high. I would stick around just for that, the payoff should be big.

I don't know what people expect from the walking dead. when it's not rehashing the same plot lines, it's just a fun and interesting show.

The interesting and fun parts have grown tiring and all we are left with is rehashing plot lines.

It's the same episode every week.

Seasons 3, 4, and 5 bored me and in some way was a constant rehash, I don't feel that way about this season.

I've actually been engaged. Every season 1-5 has tons of filler, and I don't think the praise and ratings are commensurate with the quality. I guess I just have lower expectations.

The show has never been that great ever to begin with. It's a good show but not worth all the praise it receives by a lot of people. There is a reason it doesn't win many emmys

I agree with this but even still it wasn't even a "good" show for very long. Season 1 was definitely enjoyable, but season 2 was boring, uninspiring, and based off an easily avoidable dumb decision from an uninteresting female side character who decided to run off. The last episode of season 2 somewhat redeemed it. I quit midway through season 3 because I couldn't take the governor plot seriously anymore. Not only that, Carl and Rick were just not interesting anymore (well...Carl really never was).
