I meant jumped onto the project as a member of the production team.

Oh... that's pretty darn cool. So, where's the location?

Spoilers

My synopsis is in Season 1 the tourists screwed over the locals. In Season 2 the locals screwed over the tourists.

In Season 1, Murray Bartlett plays by far the best character & just kills it.

In Season 2 the two Italian girls steal the show. It’s also weird to see Aubrey Plaza play a character so opposite of April Ludgate.

Been thinking about giving it another shot since I noticed it got a second season.

Started with and loved the 2nd season.

Circled back and couldn't make it through the 1st season.

So if you didn't like season 1, you might just like season 2.

I didn’t get that from either season. But I’m sure it’s there if that’s the sort of thing you’re looking to complain about.

I didn't pick up on that, but now that you mention it, I can see it.

I thought it was your typical liberal Hollywood schlock throughout most of the first season, but the last episode really drives it home.

Daddario’s character isn’t that special and her complaints about her husband are superficial (he was justified in his “Karen” moments most of the season.). She got put in her place so many times that you wanted them to stop beating the dead horse by the end.

The college girls were all about screwing over her parents because of colonialism, but when there were consequences to actions they retreated to being rich, entitled, and safe. Sweeney’s character learned her lesson and appreciated what she had, but her friend will always be burdened with ruining someone else’s life due to her “activism.”

I was rolling my eyes a lot of the season but it was an incredibly satisfying finale outside of the untimely death.

I didn't care for Season 1. Season 2, for me, was outstanding. Both seasons are totally independent from one another.

Not exactly. You don't have to watch Season 1 to enjoy Season 2. But Stifler's Mom's boyfriend/husband is the key that ties the two seasons together, and it makes you reconsider her storyline from Season 1.

One of the crew told me that during season 1 they were all locked in a bubble during filming. And that SS would basically lay out on the rocks by the beach on the off days. As if it wasn't a dream gig already.

It's pretty much a blank canvas that you can read anything into. I liked it, I didn't mind Jennifer Coolidge's character, which is a win because I generally can't stand her anything post American Pie.

Yes. Very entertaining, good acting, and great scenery.

They did a good job of having the parents push back on the woke college stupidity during the family meal scenes throughout the first season, usually leaving the kids speechless or with nothing but an eyeroll to respond with.

And then yes, the final episode where the woke college kids saw the consequences of their belief system was very definitive.

So 8 downvotes for simply mentioning im working on the show ? Wow. i went to LSU, not USC film school. Have a good holiday. I’ll be holding it down on season 3 in se Asia and will stop sharing real inside perspective.

Your first post wasn’t very clear that you were talking about being on the production team (hence why you got a response calling you out that S3 hasn’t dropped yet).

Don’t get upset over some downvotes. Half of them are probably idiots who lurk here and just downvote people.

I think it’s a lot of fun, but it’s unconventional.

This is a very good description. The first season, I absolutely hated everybody. But enjoyed the show a lot

The two young girls in the first show pushed my buttons to the max.

Emjoyed both seasons. How can you not like a show with Sweeney and Daddario's in it.

Steve Zahn's character in Season 1.
I got nothing for Season 2.

I had heard the same thing about season 1 - it was shot during COVID, so everyone was quarantined: cast, crew and resort staff. The resort staff and their families were used as extras

Horn dog grandfather, his grandson, and the dumb assistant chick.

Not flawless and the grandson and assistant chick made very dumb decisions but were mostly good people.
