What an odd bump for a 1st post of a new user. How did you stumble on this old thread?

City of God, Pulp Fiction, Gangs of New York, Gone Baby Gone, Jaws, and Requiem for a dream are all coming back in two days. Not new movies, but I'll likely end up rewatching all but one.

I've only seen Requiem once. Glad I saw it, won't do it again.

ETA: Damn, this thread is old

they got rid of the rating system, no movies, doubled the price, and now removing archer, that is the last straw.... makes up 50% of what I watch.

face it, their original content blows, so they have 2 good shows out of 200, they used to rule because they made available cool shite that talented companies made.. they've decided to go al la carte.... it would be like watching nothing but NBC or HBO. they can only make so many cool things before you're bored. jumped to Hulu. so far, so better.

It was, but I actually have found it's a bit better lately.

Any ways, I started Ozark tonight and it's pretty fun.

The movie selection improved a lot when their deal with Disney started, but Disney almost immediately opted out so in 2019 the movie selection goes back to not good.

The trend has been it's been hard for them to complete series on Netflix original content.

A show like Stranger Things is probably headed the same way. By the time they finish all the kids are going to be way too old and ready to move on to bigger paydays. It's hard to pay all those actors their worth to close out series.

Can you imagine trying to get a cast like Bloodline together, too costly to afford

This has me fascinated because that one guy that bumped this in August has never posted anything else. It's like he stumbled onto this thread on Google. Posted a dire warning and was never heard from again. Who is this mystery person and where did they go? Does Chicken have him chained up?

So many possibilities

It wasn't well reviewed and didn't have a big audience, but I really liked the show.

I liked the first season. The scenery when he is traveling to the east alone is worth the watch. Couldn't get back into it for the second season. Couldn't remember enough of the details from the first season to remember everything going on, and I didn't have the patience to go back and re-watch it.

Netflix is dumping Archer Mar 14th and they never even had Drealand....oh wait HULU does!

I did a google search as well and found this thread, only difference is I am an active member.

Netflix 2011-2014.5 RIP

It just keeps getting worse. It isn't new content I want it is "OLD". It's like music, what is the worst station you can listen to....yep the new TOP 40 because after a week you have heard every new song 300 times. What is the best music stations....classic rock, WHY, because they have a library of decades of music.

I won't even watch a show unless there is 3 seasons of it. Why?? so I can get hooked and not watch anymore, will they make more..probably not and it just dies.....fricking Magic City, oh that show was so good but that was Starz not Netflix.

Anyways, bye bye Netflix, Hey it's the mellinial's version of Blockbuster.

Hell my kids don't even watch Netflix anymore, they have discovered youtube and it's endless videos of toys.

I just tried to watch "What the Health?" a documentary about food.

It basically started off by claiming that eating an egg is just as bad for you as smoking 3 cigarettes. Stopped it right there.

So I moved on to Patient 17 which I watched but sort of regretted it. They have definitive proof that aliens exist but won't let a university examine it. Yeah, okay.

Netflix isn't about streaming new movies

lots of people late to the Netflix game say this

i think a lot of people (like me) who were streaming Netflix OGs see the difference and weep

back in the day (and i know it's not coming back) i got to see all sorts of awesome and random movies on netflix

now? meh
