I agree, I quit watching movies on Netflix and watch a ton of their original content now. If I want a movie I can just rent one

Beasts of No Nation and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon 2 are both good original movies. They have a bunch of original stand up comedy shows and documentaries too.

Their deal with Disney got them Civil War, The Jungle Book, and Finding Dory so far. Pete's Dragon is coming next month and they should be getting more Marvel, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars in the future.

Agreed. Love their original content, plus I love catching up on older shows.

I actually like their movie content. Civil War, Jungle Book, Once Upon a time in the West, The Graduate, It Follows, Princess Bride, Pulp Fiction, Braveheart, Boogie Nights, etc. I dont need new movies all the time. Im just as happy watching these.

Oh, and their stand up specials are pretty good as well.

Wasn't as horrible as I thought it would be, the chick who plays Arya is in it.

There has been wayyyy more dumb shite added then worthwhile movies/shows. I don't think there is any doubt.

It's always been bad for feature movies. Awesome for docs and originals, but I burned through those in the free month. I'll sign back up for Stranger Things, though.

Yep. They've been killing it with some of their original content, but what people originally used them for, old seasons of hit tv shows and movies, is pretty much non-existent these days. It's still a good service, it's just not the service people originally signed up for. For many, it is no longer worthwhile for that reason. For others, the new content makes up for the loss of movies and old tv.

I should've included that in the great category. No Simpsons was a drag, though - that might've kept me on board when I wanted to dial up a '93-'00

ETA: really any Simpsons

Netflix original content is often as good or way better than a lot of the visual swill Hollywood pumps out and calls good original movies. I have and watch both Netflix and Amazon Prime. Also Apple TV some.

I'm in the middle of a massive rewatch of pretty much all the Star Trek series so I'm still using it plenty.

And there are still some documentaries (mostly nature and WWII stuff) that I'm enjoying.

But yeah, movies are kind of thin though I do find a good one I haven't seen from time to time.

Their original stuff is a mixed bag for me. Loved The Last Kingdom and enjoyed some of The Tudors and Marco Polo. But strangely most of the Marvel stuff so far has not really kept my attention and I'm a big Marvel guy.

I watched it. It's solid. It isn't the best thing on Netflix, but I enjoyed it.

They need to arrange their original series similar to HBO and let certain once come out at times of the year. And give about 4-6 weeks max before rolling out a new series.
Hypothetical example

House of Cards- Early March
Orange is the new Black- Mid April
Stranger Things Late May
Another Original Series- Early July

DO NOT USE TORRENTS!!! Unless you have a vpn and its CORRECTLY setup, including being in a country outside of US and UK jurisdiction. And in a country with no anti piracy laws. I would also opt for a vpn service that does not keep logs. If you can't follow what I just said, then stick with Netflix or kodi with covenant (the new exodus)
