He's ok replying to you when he thinks he's proving a point but then backs himself in a corner and then he's no longer replying to you
Solid tactic.
Solid tactic.

Oh yeah, you’re the coward who ducked answering my question in the first place. You’ve got exactly 0 room to speak. All the other chuckleheads who are just dog piling because they have nothing else better to do are irrelevant.

I've asked multiple people in this thread now what scenes exactly portray the journalists as "awesome" or "heroes" and none have even attempted an answer
I'm not dogpiling
I'm asking y'all to defend your stance
Your answer so far is "well the movie was about journalists therefore it must portray them as the good guys" which is laughable

What question did I dodge? Read the posts, I answered everything you asked.
Nobody is dodging the "ANSWER ME THIS IS THE MOVIE ABOUT JOURNALISTS" questions.
Nobody is denying the movie is about journalists bozo

The movie portrays the journalists as kind of noble idiots I thought. They clearly lacked judgement when dealing with militia types.

You tried to make it about me not watching. Lame.
I simply asked if journos were the focus or not.
My initial comment was a flippant jab if folks liked movies about journalists.., i swear, sarcasm & subtly are lost on this forum.

Finally watched it. The movie should have been called “Let’s focus on Kirsten Dunst frowning for two hours.” It barely covered what was actually going on with the civil war.

Kirsten Dunst
She spent the whole movie looking like a teacher who was about to take a mug shot for sleeping with her student.

They definitely aren't portrayed as heroes. The only one who seemed to actually be a good person was Sammy.
When Dunst died and they just kept going to get the photo and quote, that solidified in my mind they actually aren't good people.

Only good part was the "what kind of American?" scene

He was a last second fill on that part. Glad he did it.

They just were no longer phased by the horrors of war, when Jesse finds the bodies of the dudes at the gas station she has a pretty visible reaction to it meanwhile Lee doesn’t give a shite and keeps on moving. Joel actually gets excited at the idea of seeing the frontlines. We see Jesse slowly becoming Lee when she takes that picture of Sammy.
Lee starts to change as she see Jesse slowly change from a naive and innocent photographer to a cold nearly emotionless war photographer after Sammy’s death. Lee completes the change when she sacrifices herself to save Jesse which will in turn causes Jesse to change as she deletes the picture of Sammy.
Nothing about the film says these journalists are heroes, just that they’re vehicles for us to see America at war. More so Jesse as she like the viewer is seeing the war for the first time.
Also people wanting to know more about the war are missing the point, the movie is not about how it started. It’s why we saw it through journalists, people who are doing nothing but observing the horrors of the war just like the person watching the movie. We observe what they observe

"What Kind Of American Are You"? Intense scene.
Everyone brings up the Jesse Plemons scene, but I also thought the sniper encounter was pretty memorable.

This might be the worst thing I’ve ever wasted time on watching.
It was terrible from start to finish.
