I triple dog dare you to say that again. That movie is a classic and has stood the test of time.

The narration alone is top notch and the plot twists are nicely woven into the movie so it's not just a kid trying his best to convince his parents he "needs" a Red Rider BB Gun for Christmas.

Now, go outside and lick a steel flagpole.

I was not impressed with the movie when I was younger. But as I've aged I really began to enjoy it. Its now a must watch each Christmas.

No, that movie delivers.

Princess Bride is overrated. I had some young people try to convince me that was a great movie, so I watched it the other day. It’s like a made for TV movie. Terrible.

The kid in Christmas Story is miserable and so the movie always just makes me sad.

I like the movie but it’s been milked bone dry and is beyond played out at this point, making it lose all the charm that made it good in the first place.

You're a brave man starting this thread. It's a guaranteed downvote hurricane every time you dare criticize this mediocre movie

We get it. You’re trying to be the edgy one in the thread. Quite the contrarian you are, you’ve laid it on thick enough.

Loved it as a kid, and still enjoy it for the nostalgia. But yeah, it's really not very funny.
