2005 was great

Historically, 1939 was strong. No, I wasn't born yet.
Not quite as old, but 1970 produced Patton, Five Easy pieces, etc.
I forget how young you guys are.So I can sense the massive shrug.

Downvoted for leaving out Ed Wood.

The list of movies made between 1976 and 1986 is amazing. Most are movies they are still making sequels of or rebooting. 79, 82, 85 & 86 were all great years, but 84 has so many classics and cult classics over so many genres.

I’d agree 1994 is goat but why the frick is Flintstones, mighty ducks 2 and some others on that list?

1994 was loaded and one of the best, no doubt. Multiple Oscar winners if some of those are any other year.
It’s hard to beat 1984 though just for pure awesomeness and rewatchability from basically every genre. I’m a sucker for 80s classics though

Yes, it's unbelievable.
Not only top heavy, it has great variety and even depth.
Shawshank is one of the greatest movies ever made, sometimes my #1.. and yet it also has one of the greatest Disney Movies in The Lion King, and one of the other universally beloved movies in Forrest Gump. All my friends love them some True Lies.
I love me some Leon The Professional as well as Dumb and Dumber.
Some more movies from 94 you didn't list.
Speed
Legends of the Fall - My brother actually named his son Tristan because of this.
Quiz Show - Absolutely awesome movie
Little Women - My SO loves this book/movie
The Little Rascals
The River Wild - Kevin Bacon was a beast in this role
Ace Ventura - One of my favorite Jim Carrey movies
Natural Born Killers - Robert Downey Jr cracks me up in this
Major League 2
Reality Bites
Airheads - Just watched this again recently. Underrated.
The Santa Clause
Angels in the Outfield..
Blank Check - Was such a great movie as A KID, lol
It just goes on and on.. so many good movies on top of some absolutely classics. The diversity and depth is the greatest.

One of these is not like the others. That’s just a shite sandwich of a film.
