Saw this today. I agree. It was amazing.

Seriously, Pixar did a great job with this, and it is just as entertaining and meaningful for adults as it is entertaining for children.

The "Lava" short film before the feature was pretty good, too.

Just saw it. Very good. Definitely in the upper tier of Pixar movies.

Stay for the credits.

My kids are more excited to see Minions. I don't hate the Despicable Me movies, but it's a shame that Inside Out will not make as much money as that mostly empty, overplayed prequel.

I saw it today with my wife and 6 year old. We loved it. Pixar does a great job of making movies for adults that kids will enjoy due to the visuals and "silliness" of things. There's no way any child under 10 will follow what's going on in most of this movie but they will remain engaged most of the time. Adults will enjoy the brilliance of the creativity of the writers with the emotions and the "world" inside the mind. I laughed out loudest at the part where...

Spoiler

Riley runs into the boy at the end and inside his mind his emotions are running around frantically with the girl alarm going off. I'll see it again when it comes out on Blu-Ray.

Lava short to start the movie was great.

Inside Out was fantastic. It really explained the brain and human emotion in a really interesting way. Poehler, Phyllis Smith and Louis Black all were lights out.

ETA: i'll probably have to re-watch it when my daughter turns 11

Spot on. Saw this with the wife and kids today and all of us thoroughly enjoyed it!

If a movie isn't engaging for a child, my youngest, who is 5, will be up and about asking when the movie will be over.

She gave a firm "arse in the seat" approval!

My wife cried. I laughed a ton. Great movie for a family. Loved it.

Lava was great too. The shorts are always a little different and it's nice to see Pixar try things out.

Just got back. It was great. The creativity of Monster's Inc. meets the family themes of The Incredibles meets the emotional resonance of Up.

I saw it last night with my family. It was really great. Lots of humor for the adults and some real emotion to it. Lewis Black and Phyllis Smith were fantastic. It is definitely in the top tier of Pixar movies.

This movie was truly brilliant. I felt such a wide range of emotions as I watched, and it was cool how they did everything.

Lava was wonderful. I would assume both win at the next Academy Awards.

Just came back from it really really good. IDK what it is about pixar but outside of brave they put together some of the greatest movies ever made. It kinda sucks the academy doesn't give enough respect to animated movies because Pixar could have won a Best Picture or two with some of the movies they put together.

It's really amazing how they wove everything together in this movie, especially the mixing in of Riley's past. It's one of those movies that when you leave the theater you kinda feel like the movie is continuing to go on around you. I was thinking hmm I wonder if my joy emotion is running things right now. Oops dropped something on my foot there goes anger

anyway movie was amazing, I'm not sure how it ranks up against the other pixar movies but it is up there.

It was good but complicated to understand for kids under 7 or 8. Great for adults but my kids who are 5 and 7 it was just good.

Yeah I could see how it would be complicated for little kids. I would actually say around 10 11 years old would be around the age that kids would start to get it.

Still as complex as psychology can be it was pretty simple of a movie. It is hard to make a movie about the mind and what it goes through for kids under 8.
