Pretty much what I'm envisioning right now

Was remained of this mainly because I got a song stuck in my head today. I loved how they had the triple mint gum show up at random times throughout the movie. Speaks so true to what goes on in my head lol.

No kidding. Having that as the prized memory sphere of long term was cracking me up.

Wow. This movie was absolutely terrific. Pixar is the undeniable GOAT. It's incredible what they continue to do. Many thought they might be running out of steam because it had been awhile since a strong original from them and then Inside Out comes along. This was their most creative and ambitious project since WALL-E, and they hit it out of the park. Honestly don't even know where to begin with the praise, but it was so amazing and I already want to watch it again.
For me personally, this enters the top tier of Pixar along with the Toy Story franchise, WALL-E, and Up. They've also created a tremendous franchise opportunity with this idea. They can make sequels as Riley ages or go another way and use the idea in another human situation.
Bravo.

You saw Riley grow up and learn to balance joy and sadness. Now watch her unwind 60 years later. As Riley's mind slips to Alzheimer's, her son must fight through his fear and frustration to find a cure before its too late.
Ft. Betty White as Joy

Some Spoilers below
I could watch an entire movie based off of Dogs vs Cats.
Also, the teenage boy...

I think their big cash in when and if they ever run out of ideas is a crossover. Imagine going inside Dory's head, or Buzz Lightyear's.

I just wish the dogs had said "That man has food. I will follow the man and eat the... SQUIRREL!" and they all jerk their heads. Would've been a great reference for Docter at the end.

Forget it, Jake, its Cloudtown...
I also was cracking up at the argument over the hats
Also loved the cat just freaking out because the fear emotion caused the control panel to go haywire.
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, but I still gotta go with Finding Nemo as Pixar's best. That movie was simply gorgeous and I can laugh even harder watching on the 5th time with my niece than I did watching it the first.

My daughters went with their friends for a birthday. They actually didn't like it which really surprised me. They said it was nothing like they thought it would be and was actually sad to them. Opinions of 9 year olds.

Well, that's sort of the point. Maybe it'll make more sense in a couple years.

Yea, lots of that movie was very sad. That was part of the journey. Main theme, our sadness helps drive and reveal our truest joy. Kids these days and their hip hop music and not understanding overarching themes of movies.

Amazing movie. Pixar hit it out of the park. Loved every minute of it.

thought it was very good. didn't like it as much as Toy Story or Up, but it's probably my 3rd favorite pixar flick. pixar can world build like no other
I agree with this. Saw it tonight. Very well done, right in top tier, maybe not. I'd still say Up, Wall-E, Monster's Inc. and Finding Nemo are probably better. It's right there with TS3, Incredibles and A Bug's Life though.

that being said, i feel like riley's storyline was a missed opportunity. i think it was a mistake to make it last the course of the 2 days or or so that it did. the constant failures by joy and sadness kinda wore on me and made it feel a tad overlong for me. i wouldve stretched it out and had more real life stuff happen with school and such. Apparently there was an earlier version of the script that was similar to the one I envisioned, but it was deemed too inappropriate.
Also would've left Disgust out. Liked her design and her spunk, but her writing was notably hollow compared that of the others. It's just not strong enough an emotion to include IMO
I kind of agree here as well. I just would have gone another direction. I felt it dragged a lot in the middle. Or I wish that Joy and Sadness getting lost was actually on purpose or for a reason, not just a mistake. I felt they went out of their way to make things make some sort of sense, but let random hijinks control major plot points. Missed opportunities there that keep it from being better.
