The Dark Knight movies made a lot of money, and people loved them. They were good movies.
BvS was a terrible movie.

I agree with everything you said. The only thing I can offer in DCs defense is that Batman has been milked dry. Theres not much new they can do. Superman has also been done. I know im in a minority, but I think they should have left out Batman, particularly Affleck Batman.

People said that about Marvel bringing Spiderman into the MCU and then homecoming, along with the Civil War and IW appearances squashed that.

Batman milked dry. What if they make Bale an offer they couldn't refuse?

A continuation of the Bale Batman done right would have or could have been epic.

I still consider that the GOAT superhero franchise, but it should be left alone.

I concede, the risk of frick up has now been proven too great to make it an expanded universe.

I just went to look that up

I noticed during the credits it said something about a character from Arrested Development and was wondering what I missed. Goes along nicely with the stair car in Civil War.

I honestly don't think the Nolan films could have co-existed with an expanded universe. The DCEU might (would) have been better, but TDK trilogy would have been worse for it.

As far as Infinity War goes, I’m impressed they could have so many characters in a movie and make it a competent, enjoyable film. This would have been an easy movie to butcher, but they made it work. Looking forward to part 2.

DC needs to go back to just making good films and stop worrying about a connected universe. Stop trying to imitate Marvel.

The DCEU just by simply coexisting with it would've destroyed like 90% of the logic of the TDK trilogy.

+1 As much as I enjoyed IW, I still prefer smaller films like TDK and Logan.

Just saw it. Was great.

It may be in this thread somewhere. But what’s Captain Marvels story and where has she been the whole time?

Not a comic book reader but like the movies.

You mean like the trailer scene of the charge with the Hulk being from Avengers 4 when they go back in time and re-do that fight......

Thoughts after viewing #2

Thanos is a top tier villain, no doubt. His story was even better the second time. He's better than his comic book version, and maybe one of the better sci-fi villains on film. Comforting Scarlet Witch cements that.

The Thanos Maneuver is the new Adama Maneuver.

Why is no one talking about Silvestri's score? It was sort of fantastic. The action scenes drown it out, but he brought it every thread, and still made something his own.

Still bummed at Steve's lasck of involvement when up to this point it was about Tony and Steve.

Whoever chose the dust visual for the final scenes is brilliant. Had WAY more impact than people falling dead, or suffering in any form. Letting Parker being the only one to really feel it, was an excellent touch. Well, he and Strange.

Dr. Strange knows all....his line is crucial. (well that was clear on the first view, but I didn't bring it up in my first breakdown), however....

Avengers 4 will jump ahead......and go backwards. Captain Marvel will set the stage, and I think A4 is going to start at least 6 months in the future, maybe a year. I don't think it will be 5 years like some are saying. Captain Marvel's "appearance" in A4 will strictly be the team heading back to the 90s for some reason. They either bring her back or put her in stasis for the future.

They also will go far into the future. LIke 20 years via the Quantum Realm.

from the set photos it looks like they return to the battle of NY...not sure what the reasoning would be there
