Would see opening day. As for that other Solo movie, I’ll get around to it eventually I guess.

I enjoyed the movie but am not understanding why the ending was so "emotional" for people when everybody knows they have a way thought out to bring everybody back, giving the movies in the future that have already been announced.
Good point, I know they're all coming back so I didn't care. However, the GA does not follow these films as closely as we do to know they'll all be back. I went this morning with a big group of friends and most of them had no clue there's another one coming out next year. They all felt cheated once I told them about all the sequels already announced

Got out of it about an hour ago... still emotionally drained. I feel similar to the same way I did at the end of the Hodor episode of GoT.
Lots of great moments in the movie, I found the fade out of the title interesting at the end as the two final I's in "INFINITY WAR" were the last things to disappear.
Needless to say, the theater was silent as a tomb at the end.
Realistically we know that the GoTG gang, Spidey and Black Panther have to come back (a. because there are already sequels to their own franchise movies planned and b. because there's still looooots of money to be made off of them) but half the fun is going to be seeing how they pull it off.
So glad I avoided spoilers!

I think that’s how it plays out too.
I don’t think Banner, Cap or Iron Man make it. I think Tony sacrifices himself for Pepper and his unborn kid. Cap goes out like a badass as does Hulk. BW sticks around, Hawkeye retires for good. Thor joins the Guardians.
I could also see more Guardians movies being made after Vol. 3. After maybe Drax and Quill leave. Thor, Mantis, Groot, Rocket and maybe Adam Warlock start the new group

I am as into MCU films as it gets, but some of those scenes did have emotional impact (especially Peter and Scarlet Witch), which is a credit to those actors (because of the future knowledge).

Sucked for Vision, killed by the woman you love to save humanity, only to be brought back and have Thanos brutally rip the mind stone out his damn head

Sequel ends with the Avengers getting the gauntlet and realizing that it won’t fit any of their smaller hands. Throwing caution to the wind, the fate of the universe depends on the Hulk’s current mood as he dons the gauntlet and repeatedly tries to snap his fingers.

Right, just a little while before this movie Hulk was willing to fight this guy, but now after getting roughed up a bit he's a bitch,
You're forgetting that the Hulk had never been beaten before. Never. It makes sense that his psyche is severely bruised now.

Thanos strikes me as a strongly plausible version of God. A death worshipper who cherishes life above all else. It wouldn’t shock me if that was the case. The fact that he was genuinely consoling to Scarlet Witch was a bit disturbing to me to be honest.

Agreed. I’ve thought for well over a decade that Thanos was an awful character who is a Darkseid rip-off, and I stand by that in the comics, but he was fantastic in this movie. He absolutely passes the Plinkett Test. To describe Thanos after this movie, I would not initially go to his appearance or role in the movie just instinctively. The Russos did well making a spectacular villain.

List of upcoming Marvel movies:
Spider-Man 2 (so obviously he has to come back.)
GotG 3 (but we don't know who will actually be on the team)
Black Panther 2 (so likely Chadwick Boseman is back but what if Shuri or Okoye have to take up the mantle? Shuri has been Black Panther before)
Doctor Strange 2 (so yeah he is back too)
So there is still a number of characters that have a chance to stay dead. Falcon, Vision, Scarlet Witch, Loki, Fury and a number of others could stay dead.
Marvel could let a number of them stay dead and go forward with a new female Black Panther and Ms Marvel as the new faces of the MCU and Hollywood would likely flap itself to death.

This tells me you know nothing about Marvel comics.

Just got out. Initial thoughts: Enjoyed it but the ending felt very hollow and didn't have any emotional impact for me. I know Marvel doesn't have the balls to leave characters like Black Panther or Spiderman actually dead.
Agreed, it takes away knowing they are still alive in all actuality. They should actually kill the actor off in reality

The one where he asked if he was supposed to bow to Black Panther and the one where Shuri told him how he should have wired Vision.
Seems like that's on you for interpreting those jokes as making fun of white people. Kinda snowflakey imo
I thought the bow joke was hilarious

Watched it again and realized Steve has an Atlanta area code, guess because they film in Atlanta

Marvel has openly acknowledged he’s a rip off. If Marvel and DC were to fully merge, they’d get rid of Thanos in favor of Darkseid.
