Sitting in the theatre watching the credits roll. Good movie not incredible. Didn’t really live up to the hype.

I wish you had gotten disintegrated instead of spiderman

Imagine being upset about how everything is turned into a race thing, while being so ate up with race narratives yourself that you interpreted these jokes in that light.

Wow.

The fact that he was genuinely consoling to Scarlet Witch was a bit disturbing to me to be honest

She essentially did to vision what he did to Gamora. She sacrificed a person she loved for the "greater good."

Or it's a shot at Bruce being just an awkward person and Shuri having more advanced technology

I understand that, but he’s a genocidal monster, and I felt for both of them there... actually Thanos more. It is disturbing I can sympathize with him, and a big kudos to the Russos for making me feel that.

Why the frick did they have to kill spidey?

“Mr. Stark, I’m not feeling so good.”

Literally had me in tears. Incredible acting by holland.

And does anyone else not like Cap’s new suit? Just doesn’t seem right. Fits the theme I guess. Overall one of the best marvel movies I have ever seen though. Hulk vs. thanos in beginning is an underrated scene no one is talking about.

My guess is Loki and Vision stay dead with Cap, Tony, Drax, and possibly Thor dying in the next one.

The new Avengers being Dr. Strange, Bucky (New Cap), Spider-Man, Black Panther, Scarlet Witch, Black Widow, and Ant-Man

New Guardians are everyone minutes Drax and possibly Gamora. Maybe Adam joins them later on

So is Ant-Man and the Wasp supposed to take place before Infinity War or is everything going to be completely fricked in that movie?

Great way to start the movie and show from the start how devastating Thanos is.

I’m not a comic book person, so I don’t know how it goes in the comic books but I thought his balancing the universe motive was a great way to go. I like my villains best when they aren’t just “I wanna destroy the world” and you can understand their motive. We get that with Thanos. He’s really doing what he feels is the best for the universe, even though it’s a huge sacrifice. The Avengers themselves all grapple with the same concept, to a lesser extent. We see Quill try to kill Gamora for a greater good and Scarlet Witch do the same with Vision. They are making sacrifices for a greater good.

They went with the Nomad Cap. I’m sure that’s what they were going for after civil war.

The concept of trading lives was brought up multiple times to the point they were beating us over the head with it. I will say that it may have something to do with the next one as well.

They spend the entire movie rescuing the original Wasp, then at the end of the movie she disintegrates with the other Thanos snap victims.

Ant-Man will take place right after civil war and before infinity war from what I’ve heard.

Gotcha

I wonder if we'll get more of an explanation then of why he wasn't in this movie. Are we getting any more Hawkeye going forward?

Hulk got his arse whipped, very precise/brutal punches n knees by Thanos then the over the head slam to put him down for good was just.. wow. Never seen the Hulk handled like that.

From Jim Starlin, the guy who came up with Thanos:

quote:

Kirby had done the New Gods, which I thought was terrific. He was over at DC at the time. I came up with some things that were inspired by that. You'd think that Thanos was inspired by Darkseid, but that was not the case when I showed up. In my first Thanos drawings, if he looked like anybody, it was Metron. I had all these different gods and things I wanted to do, which became Thanos and the Titans. Roy took one look at the guy in the Metron-like chair and said: "Beef him up! If you're going to steal one of the New Gods, at least rip off Darkseid, the really good one!"

FYI, on Agents of Shield tonight one character made a random comment to Daisy about something happening in New York, a clear reference to the early events of Infinity War

I just saw that. I wonder if the episode next week will have half the population disappear?

I watched it twice and that might be my favorite scene. Thanos throwing hands looked fricking amazing.

Thanos played the rope a dope
lol

I gotta give Marvel credit for not doing what couldve been a MAJOR mind job and by that I mean Thanos getting the mind stone then snapping his fingers and the screen going black, roll credits, no additional scenes.
